Scored at Ballinrobe in July and shaped as if still in good order. Has C&D winning experience and shouldn't be ruled out.

Successful at Musselburgh last November and, after a below-par effort next time, has generally held form since, second over C&D in a first-time visor last time. Should be involved.

Won second of 2 starts in Irish points in May and confirmed promise of Rules debut when landing a novice hurdle at Cartmel readily from Ravenscraig Castle a month ago. Open to more improvement and looks the one to beat.

Made a successful debut over hurdles after 6 months off in 2m Kelso maiden a year ago, beating one who won his next 2 starts. More miss than hit subsequently but could well get back on track following a break.

Fairly useful stayer on Flat who hasn't fired for a while in that sphere but boasts a progressive profile in this sphere. Not discounted.

Forecasts

Ravenscraig Castle (5/2), Bowling Buddy (11/4), Caldwell (4/1), Cave Court (6/1), Cuban Cigar (17/2), Old Gregorian (14/1), Mojo Ego (16/1)

Verdict

BOWLING BUDDY opened his Rules account with plenty to spare at Cartmel last time and, for all that the handicapper has taken no chances with his opening mark, he's fancied to improve past these more exposed types on handicap debut. Cuban Cigar should be on the premises and Old Gregorian isn't without hope.
