Progressive on her first 3 starts, making it back-to-back wins at Wetherby when scoring on handicap debut (8f) in June. Lesser efforts next 2 outings, but back on track when runner-up at Hamilton (9.2f, heavy) last time. Respected with cheekpieces applied.

Has thrived this year for current yard, successful at Wolverhampton in April before racking up a hat-trick on turf in May, her latest win coming at Beverley (7.4f, soft). However, she ran below form at Ascot when last seen in July, so bounce back now called for.

C&D winner last summer. Struggled for form in the first half of the current year, but from her falling mark she finished runner-up back at this C&D (good to firm) in July. Below-par effort at Ascot 12 days ago, though she's not written off at this venue.

Easy winner of maiden at Pontefract final start last season. Had excuses on her return in May, before running creditably after a further 4 months off when second in handicap at Ffos Las (7.4f, heavy) 19 days ago. Major player with her recent run behind her.

Doubled her tally in an Ascot handicap in July, despite having been denied a clear run, and again ran well when third at this C&D (good) next time. Found it tougher at York (10.2f) last month, but she could get back on track returned to this grade.

Made a successful return at Newcastle and got back on the up when recording back-to-back wins at Yarmouth (both at 8f) in July. Creditable fifth of 13 in her bid for the hat-trick at Wolverhampton, but ran one of her poorer races at Newmarket last time.

Placed on first 2 starts for Karl Burke and built on that promise when making a winning stable debut at Kempton (8f) in August. However, down the field on her handicap bow at Southwell 20 days ago. Makes turf debut with hood back on/tongue strap added.

Making only her second handicap start, showed improved form back down in trip with the hood left off when landing 6-runner contest at this C&D (good) 19 days ago. Enters calculations with the potential of more still to offer now that she's up and running.

Fair form at 2 yrs and, after a further 4 months off this season, wasn't discredited back in maiden company when fourth of 5 at Lingfield (7f, AW) 27 days ago. Remains early days as she goes up in trip for just her second start in a handicap.

Forecasts

Dreamrocker (5/2), Windcrack (10/3), Fleurir (6/1), Own Accord (13/2), Expensive Queen (9/1), Royal Velvet (11/1), Crystal Casque (12/1), Radiant Beauty (22/1), Powdering (25/1), Elderflower (50/1)

Verdict

Having shown fairly useful form at 3 yrs, FLEURIR left her first start of the current campaign behind when runner-up at Ffos Las 19 days ago and she can build on that effort to resume winning ways. Roger Varian's filly is preferred to Own Accord, who returned to form when second at Hamilton last month, with Windcrack also considered.
