Foaled April 2. €140,000 foal, 235,000 gns yearling, New Bay colt. Dam unraced sister to smart 2-y-o 7f/1m winner Marcel. Holds a Royal Lodge entry and market confidence behind him would look significant on debut.

Foaled February 4. Justify colt. Half-brother to 3 winners, including 1m winner Time To Boogie and 1¼m winner Fortune Finder. Holds a number of big entries and he's a debutant well worth considering for his powerful stable.

Son of Kingman who fetched €650,000 as a yearling and shaped with plenty of encouragement when third of 13 in novice at Sandown (7f) 16 days ago, caught further back than ideal and finishing off very well. Looks sure to be suited by 1m and he's open to significant improvement.

250,000 gns foal, Frankel colt who is shaping up well, building on debut promise when second of 13 in maiden at Sandown (7f, good to soft, 6/1) 22 days ago. In excellent hands and step up to 1m can bring about further progress.

Foaled March 18. Sea The Moon colt. Dam, 1¼m-1½m winner who stayed 1¾m, sister to smart 1½m winner Stay Alert. Has plenty of stamina in his pedigree so this trip may be on the short side on debut.

200,000 gns purchase who is bred more for stamina then speed and he showed ability when fifth of 13 in maiden at Newmarket (7f) on debut 5 weeks ago. Looks sure to be suited by this increase in trip.

Forecasts

King's Charter (11/10), Isambard Brunel (11/4), Windlord (9/2), Sing Us A Song (7/1), Pantile Warrior (8/1), Hopewell Rock (17/2), Sword Of Wessex (22/1), Raedwald (100/1), Scarlet Moon (100/1), Risk (200/1), Kaiya (200/1)

Verdict

KING'S CHARTER marked himself down as one to follow with a highly encouraging debut third at Sandown 16 days ago, caught further back than ideal but very much catching the eye with the progress he made entering the final 1f. Open to significant improvement, he can build on that run and come out on top. This has all the hallmarks of a deep maiden, Ballydoyle newcomer Isambard Brunel (holds group-race entries) and the improving Windlord heading up the dangers.
