Totally different proposition on second start when winning 9-runner novice event at Redcar (5f, good to firm) 14 days ago, running on. Must concede weight all round but chance he'll do better again.

Sent off 9/4 and overcame inexperience to win 10-runner maiden at Wetherby (5.5f, good to soft) on debut 25 days ago, cosily. Open to plenty of progress so has to be taken very seriously.

Big-money breeze-up buy who found only one too good on debut. No real impact when 9¾ lengths twenty first of 27 to Ain't Nobody in listed Windsor Castle Stakes (28/1) at Royal Ascot (5f, firm) 17 days ago but this is easier.

Pretty tight in the betting and showed much more than on debut when second of 8 in maiden at Carlisle (5f, good to firm) 10 days ago, clear of rest. That puts him right in the mix.

Failed to land the odds both starts, third of 10 in minor event at Ascot (5f, good to firm) 56 days ago. Looks in need of 6f but couldn't be in much better hands.

Highly-promising type. Fifth of 9 in novice event at Lingfield (6f, good to firm, 18/1) on debut 16 days ago, unable to sustain effort. Should significantly improve.

Forecasts

Hallasan (3/1), Diligently (9/2), Artagnan (9/2), Cracking Man (5/1), Yes I'm Mali (7/1), Mr Lightside (8/1), Art Design (9/1), Rogue Bullet (25/1), Twilight Poppy (80/1), Bentley Air (80/1)

Verdict

Quite a few to consider but YES I'M MALI clearly possesses his fair share of ability to have won cosily on debut despite obvious signs of greenness so he can make the necessary step forward to defy a penalty. Artagnan will find this easier than the Windsor Castle so he's a threat, with Hallasan another expected to be bang there.
