Smart on AW, winning twice last winter (including over C&D). Returned from 7 months off with a solid second at Chelmsford (6f) in November but below best in trio of starts in Bahrain subsequently, last of 18 in handicap at Sakhir (6f, good) 36 days ago. Bounce back not ruled out.

Likeable type who has been holding his form well on AW and deservedly resumed winning ways at Kempton (6f) 24 days ago, making running and well on top finish. Remains unexposed at 6f and likely he can make presence felt again.

Useful gelding who was just touched off in C&D conditions' event on Boxing Day and matched that level when third at Lingfield (6f, listed) on penultimate start. Not at best back at that venue (5f) latest and visor worn then is quickly discarded here.

Four wins from 16 runs last year. 14/1, bit below form 5¼ lengths sixth of 10 to Silky Wilkie in handicap at Kempton (6f) 24 days ago. Tongue strap on 1st time and likely good gallop to aim at will suit.

Successful 3 times on turf last season, latterly at Ascot (5f) in October. Ran below best from career-high mark when tenth in 12-runner Kempton handicap (6f) final start in November and others appeal more on return to action.

Bagged 6f handicap from 3 lb higher mark last spring and ended time with Robert Cowell with good third over C&D in October. Not seen to best effect on return/yard debut here (5.1f) 28 days ago and this more suitable despite a less-than-ideal draw.

Low-mileage 4-y-o who stepped up on reappearance run to run out good winner of 9-runner Southwell handicap (6f) in January. Raced closer to the pace than ideal when fifth behind Diligent Harry at Newcastle (6f) since and distinctly possible he could yet have more to offer.

Versatile 5-y-o (effective over as far as 1¼m) and having run well when runner-up at Lingfield (7f) on penultimate start, he backed that up when close-up fourth over this trip at that venue 8 days ago. This tougher but well drawn and very promising apprentice takes off valuable 5 lb.

Resurgent equipped with a visor last year, gaining fifth victory of the campaign at Windsor (6f) in August. Hard to knock consistency thereafter (out of depth final start) but she may just be in the grip of the handicapper back from a break.

3/1
All-weather novice winner 12 months ago who made winning handicap debut at Newmarket (6f) in April, quickening clear and well on top finish. Progress stalled thereafter but gelded ahead of return and of interest given he's gone well fresh before (remains unexposed on AW).

Forecasts

Ingra Tor (3/1), Silky Wilkie (4/1), Sir Robin (9/2), Baldomero (11/2), Dubai Station (17/2), Exalted Angel (12/1), Cuban Breeze (20/1), Dream Composer (22/1), Strong Power (22/1), Soldier's Minute (22/1)

Verdict

Having looked a very promising sprinter this time last year INGRA TOR didn't kick on as expected thereafter. Yet, he returns on the back of being gelded, boasting a good record fresh, and he could just be worth chancing to get back on track from a handy draw with the likelihood of a good gallop to aim at another plus. Silky Wilkie, who goes from strength to strength, Baldomero and Sir Robin head the dangers in a cracking race of its type.
