Shaped better than the bare result in an Aintree bumper and overcame inexperience to make a successful hurdling debut at Ayr (2m) 55 days ago, produced to lead 2 out and asserting run-in. Sort to go on progressing.

Gleneagles gelding who showed a bit in a short-distance bumper at Market Rasen on debut but didn't seem to fully get home on his first try hurdling at Kempton in November.

Half-brother to 2 winners on Flat and made an excellent start when landing an Aintree bumper in November for Richard Bandey. Ran below that level sent hurdling when second at Huntingdon, though deserves some credit for getting involved at all following early interference. Will improve.

Verdict

ELOGIO, a winner of his sole outing in bumpers, didn't really get the opportunity to show what he could do on his Huntingdon hurdling debut following early interference, so he's well worth another chance for his in-form stable. Bois Guillbert appeals as the sort to go on progressing being a scopey sort and is feared most.
