Landed a juvenile fillies' hurdle in France and impressive when following up in a mares' novice on yard debut at Huntingdon (19.6f) last October. Disappointing in handicaps after but better than result both starts over fences this term. She's not one to write off.

Fairly useful form over hurdles and made a really encouraging start to chasing when third of 11 at Chepstow on return. Heavy ground probably against him next time so well worth another chance.

Career best when winning 4-runner handicap chase here (19.9f, good to soft) in November but struggled off this mark at Leicester since. Headgear applied. Also engaged 1.35 Doncaster.

Exuberant sort who was progressive over hurdles. Opening mark looks no more than fair after 7 months off but looks the type to make a better chaser.

Bumper winner who opened his hurdles account back from an 18-month absence in a 12-runner novice hurdle (20/1) at Plumpton (20.5f, good to soft). Well held here since so needs to bounce back on chase bow.

Showed much-improved form to score in clear-cut style over hurdles at Southwell in May and back on track when successful on chase bow at Catterick (15.6f) in November. However, seemed to fail for resolution as much as stamina back up in trip at Market Rasen since.

Fair winner over hurdles who had been in the doldrums for a while but proved resurgent on second chase start when successful at Lingfield (2m) last month. However, easy to back and not in anything like the same form when pulled up here on Boxing Day. Cheekpieces back on.

Fairly useful on Flat for William Muir and built on hurdles debut promise when landing 2m Taunton maiden (soft) in January. Free-going ways has rather held him back since, however, so needs to settle down now going chasing.

Forecasts

Grandeur D'ame (7/4), Trapista (4/1), Natty Night (4/1), Duke Of Luckley (13/2), Prime Time Lady (7/1), Maninsane (14/1), Northern Poet (16/1), The Knot Is Tied (40/1)

Verdict

GRANDEUR D'AME seemed to get stuck in the mud at Lingfield last time and is well worth another chance to build on his promising chase bow. Trapista has shaped better than the bare result on both her starts over fences this term so remains with potential, while Prime Time Lady was progressive over hurdles and looks the type to make a better chaser.
