Gained reward for his consistency when winning 5-runner handicap at Wolverhampton (1¾m) in July. Creditable in-frame efforts in competitive heats at Doncaster and Lingfield since.

Three wins from 8 runs this year. 9/1, career best when winning 11-runner handicap at Doncaster (1½m, good to firm) 42 days ago by ¾ length from reopposing Wynter Wildes. Enters calculations.

7¾ lengths last of 4 to River of Stars in listed race at Chester (14.5f, good to firm, 14/1) 26 days ago. Went close on AW at Wolverhampton prior to that but this is more competitive. Others are more persuasive.

Arrives on a hat-trick after wins at Ffos Las and Lingfield, the latter when making his first start for Milton Harris. Just as good when third of 14 over 1¼m here 3 weeks ago. Could have more to offer now stepping back up to 1½m.

Winner of back-to-back AW handicaps in spring 2021. Some creditable efforts on turf this year but he needs to bounce back from a poor run last time.

Three wins from 12 runs this year. 5/1, career best when winning 10-runner C&D 21 days ago by ½ length from Trinity Girl, running on. 4 lb rise is unlikely to prevent another prominent showing from a filly who has been a model of consistency lately.

Got his act together with 1½m wins at Leicester and Newmarket last month but they came in smallish fields and he'll need to improve again if he's to complete the hat-trick on this AW debut.

Won 8 runner novice over this trip at Leicester in June. Not in the same form when well held on Haydock handicap debut the following month but his stable's good record at this venue provides some hope.

Winner at Ayr (dead-heated) and Musselburgh (12.5f) last month. Caught too far back in a Haydock Class 2 last time and worth putting a line through that run. Makes AW debut. 2 lb out of handicap.

Forecasts

Postmark (9/2), True Courage (11/2), Sarsons Risk (6/1), Wynter Wildes (6/1), Fair Star (8/1), Scampi (9/1), Trinity Girl (11/1), Mostly Sunny (14/1), Vindolanda (18/1), Shake A Leg (18/1), Blow Your Horn (18/1), Sophiesticate (33/1)

Verdict

POSTMARK leaves the impression he might have more to come for his new stable now going back up to 1½m and he's taken to add to his win at the second meeting of this series at Lingfield. True Courage came from further back than ideal to score at Kempton recently and is feared most ahead of Wynter Wildes, who edged out Trinity Girl in a similar race here last month.
