Impressive when scoring by a wide margin on his debut at Nottingham and had no trouble following up in 10.2f novice at Newcastle. Took form to another level when narrow winner of Queen's Vase at Royal Ascot. Not disgraced back down in trip when fourth in Grand Prix de Paris and this test will suit.

Ran to a useful level on just his second start when tenth behind Desert Crown in the Derby at Epsom in June. Clear with another promising 3-y-o on yard debut in a Chester maiden before landing odds in AW novice. Plenty to find back this level.

Impressive winner of Cork conditions event on reappearance and better effort since when third in Irish Derby at the Curragh when last seen in June, albeit beaten 9 lengths. Bit to find.

Very smart colt who excelled himself when second in Derby at Epsom. Subsequently sold out of Andrew Balding's yard for £1,200,000 before creditable third to New London in Gordon Stakes at Goodwood (rider dropped whip). Since landed the odds in a weak Group 3 there since. Should be bang there.

Derby aspirations ended when he was turned over at short odds in the Chester Vase but he got career firmly back on track after a break when defying a big weight in 1¼m handicap at Newmarket's July meeting. Progressed again when winning a deep Group 3 at Goodwood. Likely to stay and form pick.

Naas maiden winner on third start. Useful form in defeat last 3 starts, staying-on third in Lillie Langtry at Goodwood (14f) latest. Stamina guaranteed but likely to find a few too classy.

Golden Horn filly who made a very taking debut to brush aside a couple who had already shown decent form at Wolverhampton. Did very well to overcome a steady pace (came from last) when following up in listed event at York 3 weeks ago and looks an exciting prospect.

Useful form when wide-margin winner of a handicap at Southwell 6 weeks ago but looks out of her depth switched to turf.

New London - Original Position 3rd. Amended Position 2nd.
Haskoy - Original Position 2nd. Amended Position 4th.

Forecasts

New London (11/8), Eldar Eldarov (9/2), Haskoy (9/2), Hoo Ya Mal (15/2), French Claim (9/1), Emily Dickinson (16/1), Giavellotto (28/1), Lizzie Jean (100/1), El Habeeb (150/1)

Verdict

Not the strongest renewal of the world's oldest Classic so it could be worth taking a chance on HASKOY, who has quickly developed into a smart filly and was value for plenty extra having come from last to first off a steady pace at York. Hot favourite and form pick New London was a good winner of the Gordon Stakes at Goodwood so is the obvious threat, with Derby runner-up Hoo Ya Mal another to consider.
