No Nay Never colt who has progressed with each start, making it 3 from 3 when making all in impressive fashion in Group 3 (6f) at the Curragh last month, forging clear. 6f at Ascot ought to be right up his street and sure to make a bold bid for yard that has won this a record 9 times.

12,000 gns yearling, £47,000 2-y-o, Tasleet colt. Already looks a bargain buy having justified market confidence in the style of a fine prospect when a 9-length winner at York on debut last month, recording an excellent timefigure in the process. Must be considered.

£32,000 yearling, 82,000 gns 2-y-o, Harry Angel colt. Bred to be precocious and looked a good prospect as he justified strong support in Navan maiden on debut last month. Bare form looks very ordinary, however.

Pretty professional for a debutant when making a winning start at Newbury but was readily brushed aside by Persian Force there next time and no obvious reason why he should beat that one here.

Put experience to good use when off the mark at the fourth attempt in Thirsk maiden 2 weeks ago but out of his depth here.

30,000 gns foal, 42,000 gns yearling, Sioux Nation colt. All the better for debut when 1½ lengths second to Scholarship in maiden at Haydock (6f, good, 100/1) 19 days ago, nearest finish, but this looks very ambitious.

US-raider who showed much-improved form to get off the mark at the second attempt in 6-runner maiden at Churchill Downs (4.5f) last month, reeling in the 2 pacesetters late on, but this is a tough ask running on turf for the first time.

€52,000 foal, €68,000 yearling, Starspangledbanner colt. Knew his job when making a winning start in a novice full of newcomers at Windsor 3 weeks ago, breaking fast and making all. Much more needed here.

€225,000 yearling by Mehmas. Ran to a useful level straightaway when justifying strong market confidence in the Brocklesby at Doncaster and had little difficulty beating Holguin in 3-runner novice at Newbury last month. High on the shortlist.

£60,000Y, £140,000 2-y-o by Acclamation. Asserted late when making a winning start at Salisbury and followed up in a class 2 at Musselburgh a little more than a week on, showing useful form and recording a very good timefigure in the process. Looks a powerful colt who should continue to progress.

32,000 gns yearling, Acclamation colt. Has improved a chunk with each run, much better for debut when scoring at Beverley before following up in decisive fashion in class 2 at Pontefract, beating a couple of previous winners. Worth a shot.

Confirmed debut promise (fourth in what was a very hot novice here) when an impressive 5-length winner at Goodwood (6f) last month. More to come and not taken lightly.

€44,000 foal, 60,000 gns yearling, Profitable colt. Looked another good juvenile prospect in recent times for this yard when ready winner of a Newbury maiden 19 days ago. Bare form looks ordinary but may improve quite a bit.

Showcasing colt who left debut run well behind when scoring in maiden at Leicester 2 weeks ago, impressing with his strength at the finish. Much more on his plate here but has potential.

Left debut well behind when winning at a huge price 8 days on in a Listowel maiden last week, no fluke about it given the clear margin at the line. Others have more convincing profiles, though.

Made a winning debut in maiden at Wolverhampton, becoming the first winner for a sire who won this race for these connections in 2017. However, found out at listed level at Sandown next time and this even harder.

Aidan O'Brien has won this a record 9 times and holds a strong hand once again with BLACKBEARD and Age of Kings, who both looked smart prospects when scoring last-time out. The latter was very strong at the finish at the Curragh 2 weeks ago but Blackbeard seems to have more natural pace having displayed an impressive turn of foot in the Marble Hill Stakes there, so gets the vote. Persian Force looks best of the home team, with Bradsell, Remarkable Force and Royal Scotsman also worth a mention.
