Very smart and reliable over 1m/9f, winning Grade 1 at Santa Anita in May and good efforts behind Mo Forza the last twice (including over C&D). Place claims again from good draw.

Very likeable performer who has enjoyed another fine year, winning for a third time in the Foret at Longchamp, beating Pearls Galore. Buick keeps the faith and obvious claims if he gets the mile.

Smart Japanese performer, successful in 1m Group 2 a year ago. Second in Dubai Turf at Meydan in March and not beaten far back home on only other run since 4 weeks ago. Bit to find.

Not seen out this year until August, but has gained repeat wins in 1m Grade 2s, both from Smooth Like Strait. Good record here and lots to like from stall 6.

Has quickly come a long way since winning a claimer in July, completing the hat-trick with a bit in hand in Keeneland Grade 1 Mile last month under this rider. Dangerous to discount.

One of the highlights of a rather low-key 2021 for her yard (by its standards), successful in good 1000 Guineas on return and Deauville Group 1. Not best placed in QEII latest and she's very likeable.

Close second over C&D final start last year and done well this term, making the breakthrough in Grade 1 company at Keeneland last month. Not without claims.

Successful on only other start over C&D in December 2019 after finishing second in this at Santa Anita but she's hard to catch right, held in Kentucky sprint on last run 2 months ago.

Has had a fine year with Group 3 wins in Ireland at up to 7.5f and fine runs in Group 1s the last twice (behind Space Blues at Longchamp latest). She'll need luck to get prominent from stall 12.

Has bounced back this year with a couple of victories at Belmont but subsequent efforts suggest he'd be a surprising winner here from stall 13.

Fourth in this at Keeneland last year and suspect this has been his target all along having raced just twice this term 5 months apart (no match for In Love at Keeneland latest). Hard to fancy.

Three wins at Leopardstown this year, latest in 1m Group 2 with a bit in hand. This will surely be too tough, though. RESERVE.

Forecasts

Space Blues (15/8), Mo Forza (3/1), Smooth Like Strait (8/1), Mother Earth (8/1), In Love (9/1), Master Of The Seas (12/1), Hit The Road (15/1), Raging Bull (18/1), Pearls Galore (20/1), Got Stormy (22/1), Blowout (22/1), Ivar (28/1), Queen Supreme (30/1), Real Appeal (40/1), Vin De Garde (50/1), Casa Creed (50/1)

Verdict

MASTER OF THE SEAS and Space Blues are strong contenders for Godolphin and Charlie Appleby, who has enjoyed a fantastic year, with Master of The Seas fancied to come out on top. A narrow loser in the Guineas, he's still fairly unexposed, and a well-run race is sure to suit from stall 1. His very likeable stablemate has obvious claims if getting the trip. Mo Forza, seeking a 5-timer, must go close.

  2. SPACE BLUES (IRE)
  3. MO FORZA (USA)
