Useful form, back on turf and improved to win 8-runner Prix Djebel at Deauville (7f) last time by neck from Pimento, leading over 1f out. This demands another jolt of progress.

Flopped in the Coventry after taking debut win but given rest of the season off and has flourished as a 3-y-o, completing hat-trick (all 6f) in listed company at Newbury. Bred to stay 7f.

Very useful form when winning twice on Chelmsford's polytrack. Similar level when fifth in the Greenham and runner-up in listed company at Newmarket. This looks a tall order.

Had a breathing operation after two-race juvenile campaign and much-improved form when landing a maiden at Newcastle in April. Unable to build on that in handicaps and looks out of his depth.

Dropped away in the Craven on reappearance but a different proposition eased in class when a decisive winner of a 1m handicap at Naas last month. Good looker who can progress for top yard.

Confirmed turf debut promise when landing odds in Newcastle novice in November. Shaped very well when ½-length second to Megallan in listed race back there before finding the 2000 Guineas too much.

Won first 2 starts at Southwell this winter and smart form when excellent second in the Greenham at Newbury. 1m too much of a test sent to Longchamp and made all back over 7f at listed level latest.

Raced exclusively at Newmarket, successful sole 2-y-o start and looked at top prospect when routing 3 rivals in a good time on reappearance. Mid-field in the 2000 Guineas and worth another chance.

Out of a smart mare and looked well-above average when a ready winner of a 7f novice at Kempton on debut. This is a big step up 17 days on but he's totally unexposed.

Verdict

MUTASAABEQ was found wanting for know-how having been supplemented for the 2000 Guineas but his reputation pretty much remains intact and a well-run race over 7f looks the ideal set-up for him to regain the winning thread. Conversely, form-choice Creative Force steps up in trip but he's certainly bred to stay this far and is a big threat, along with Naval Crown.
