Handicap debutant only showed small glimpses in three qualifiers. Upped in trip now so would be interesting if market support comes.

Consistent profile without winning last season, and gave the impression there was winning to be done with her in handicaps as a three-year-old when second on handicap debut. Down the field on seasonal return to action though, so must bounce back.

Posted clear career best when narrowly beaten over C&D on return to action. Raised 3lb for that but remains lightly raced so certainly a big player here. Also declared at Bath on Thursday.

Notable step up on handicap debut when second of 12 over 7f at Kempton. First time over 1m here and bred to improve for the extra 1f so a most likable profile for very shrewd trainer.

Showed little in maidens and last of 12 on handicap debut beaten 15L makes her best avoided upped to 1m for the first time.

Two runs for John Gosden before her stable debut seventh at Kempton latest. Handicaps can help now but not sure opening mark entirely justified.

Little to recommend in five races so far and particularly struggled since sent handicapping. Makes scant appeal.

Well-related Shamardal gelding. Hinted at ability when midfield at Wolverhampton two weeks ago so worth a check in the marked on handicap bow.

One of the more exposed runners but remains a maiden and his four starts already this year offer little encouragement for today.

Offered precious little in three attempts as a juvenile (5f-7f); off the track for 360-days since a mulish and moody display at Kempton last July; look elsewhere with a high degree of confidence.

Not entirely consistent at this stage but close second at Wolverhampton last year and same position here penultimately suggest he can win a race of this nature. One to consider.

Kept busy as a 2yo when with Mark Usher, picked up a 6f Wolverhampton seller (race panned out favourably). Changed stables soon after, has struggled in handicaps since despite a much reduced mark, never a threat last few; others appeal more.

Forecasts

Le Reveur (9/4), Berkshire Philly (3/1), Beat The Breeze (6/1), Bad Company (7/1), Libretti (12/1), Dakota Moon (12/1), Exciting Days (16/1), Elpheba (25/1), Chromium (28/1), Gift Of Youth (33/1), Rock Of Redmond (50/1), Ride And Prejudice (100/1)

Verdict

Sir Mark Prescott has already found a couple of his trademark handicap improvers and after shaping well over 7f latest LA REVEUR can give him another to go to war with now upped in trip which on pedigree should help. Recent C&D second Berkshire Philly may be the biggest threat although Dakota Moon is very unexposed and from a respected yard.
  1. Le Reveur
  2. Berkshire Philly
  3. Dakota Moon
