Generally consistent and progressive filly flopped most uncharacteristically last time out at Beverley but perhaps four-day turnaround there the reason. Effective on this surface and on a fair mark so bounce back expected.
Highly tried over the years but sights now being lowered as his handicap mark drops accordingly. Not particularly threatening over the winter and although mark keeps sliding others are preferred.
In poor form second half of last year but signs of encouragement here when a close-up fifth at 33/1 over C&D on return. Handicap mark now dangerous if he's reinvigorated and certainly one to consider.
Winner of a heavy ground Windsor claimer over 6f to end last season and promising third in a similar event to this over C&D on return suggested he may still be on the up. Live contender.
Three time winner most recently over 1m at Kempton last September. Three 2020 starts uncompelling and although his mark is sliding others make more appeal.
Only won once in 11 and although he ran some good races last summer he hasn't suggested an imminent return to the winner's enclosure in two ordinary 2020 runs.
Forecasts
Apex King (11/4), Dancing Rave (4/1), In The Cove (13/2), Voltaic (7/1), Juanito Chico (7/1), Ventura Gold (8/1), Thorn (10/1), Sir Hamilton (12/1)
Four-year-old VOLTAIC was progressive last season and his encouraging C&D return suggested that can continue this summer so he gets the vote in a competitive contest. Ventura Gold is well-handicapped on his best form after losing his way last term and he hinted at a revival on his return. Although running poorly latest Dancing Rave is another live contender based on earlier efforts.
