Teofilo colt, brother to 1m3f winner Nadaitak, half-brother to two more middle distance winners. Dam a 1m2f winner and sister to Italian Group 2 winner. Suitable test for debut and interesting if the market speaks in his favour.
Galileo colt, cost 1.3m gns, brother to four winners including the Oaks winner, Was. Beaten a long way on debut at the Curragh when 13th of 16 but yard's debutants often come on markedly for the experience; step up in trip certain to suit.

Has shown ability in each of his four starts in maidens, finishing third in each of his last three outings. Mixed signs in his pedigree to whether this step up in trip will suit and perhaps vulnerable to anything above average; solid place claims.

Galileo colt, brother to three winners including a Listed winner over this trip. Fair debut when fourth of 11 at Tipperary and yard's debutants often need the run; up in trip and likely yard first string.

Mustajeeb gelding, cost 3,000 gns as a foal. Green on debut and showed very little when 15th of 17 at Naas; unlikely winner on that showing against well bred sorts.

Teofilo colt, brother to Theobald (useful at this trip), dam unraced. Likely to need his debut run here.

Sea The Stars gelding, expensive yearling who produced a promising debut, though didn't run to that level next time out. Gelded subsequently and in good hands so may do better; step up in trip could suit.

Camelot colt, cost €110,000 as a yearling. Half-brother to 1m4f winner, dam a 1m2f winner and French Oaks runner-up who was a half-sister to a 1m2f Group 3 winner. Fascinating debutant; market should reveal expectations.

Galileo colt, half-brother to four winners including Breeders' Cup turf winner Main Sequence. Respectable ninth of 18 on Curragh debut behind Guineas second Wichita in August; every chance he will progress from that and appreciate this longer trip.

Australia colt, closely related to Group 1 winner Iridessa. Finished off his race well when fifth of 17 at Naas on heavy ground in November; ought to progress from that; wears first-time blinkers.

Beaten a long way in both starts on heavy ground as a juvenile; needs to improve markedly for better ground here if he's to have a say.

Son of Free Eagle; gelded having shown little on debut at Dundalk; not guaranteed to appreciate this step up in trip.

Dansili colt who showed promise on debut here (1m) but failed to back that up when sent off favourite at Gowran in September. May improve for this longer trip but draw far from ideal.
Rock Of Gibraltar gelding, beaten a long way on debut at Naas when 14th of 17 in March; needs to step up dramatically on that effort; wide draw not ideal.

Galileo colt who was only beaten ¾L on debut at the Curragh when sticking to his task well. Should relish this much longer trip and yard's debutants often need their debut; fascinating contender.

Zoffany colt who improved from debut to just be beaten 1L at Naas in November. Failed to build on that run on AW at Dundalk last time but remains with potential back on turf.
Son of Fastnet Rock who was gelded after finishing ninth of 12 on debut at Gowran Park. Hard to envisage him making the required improvement to play a part here.
Gelded following two down the field finishes in maidens in the summer. Needs to find plenty more here stepping up in trip; faster ground might suit.

Verdict

A host of well-bred Aidan O'Brien runners catch the eye in this contest and plenty of the trainer's debutants take a big step forward from their first run so it might be worth taking a chance on MONUMENT VALLEY. He shaped with a fair amount of promise on his debut and while he's not the first-string on jockey bookings, his pedigree suggests he could well be worth following this campaign. Stablemates Tiger Moth and Dawn Patrol boast similar profiles and are worth looking at in the market while Joseph O'Brien trained Hosier is the most interesting debutant in the field.
