Missed two years after excellent third behind Laurens in Group 1 Fillies' Mile here but hasn't been out of first two in four turf starts since comeback; bagging Group 2 brace at Meydan and then finishing second to Barney Roy in 1m1f top-tier event.

Promising novice form for Ed Vaughan last year, albeit stamina appeared to run out on final start at Deauville (1m1½f) in November. Plenty improvement needed in this company, even if she stays.

Sound mare with four handicap wins in a 29-race career but not much to warrant suggestion she'll be landing this prize. Surely needs others to falter.

Daughter of Sea The Stars won three times in first five starts, including a nice pot over C&D in October. Disappointing effort on AW at Lingfield when last spotted in November. Toughest task so far but certain she's got more progress to come.

Listed winner over this trip at Newbury 13 months ago before twice coming up shy in Group 2/3 company at Royal Ascot (1m4f) and Windsor (1m2f). In good hands to do better things as a four-year-old and commands respect.

Progressed quickly last term, winning two of first three and then finishing third in Listed Longchamp contest (1m2½f, good) in October. Trailed home in C&D Group 3 on final appearance but she's got scope for better this season.

€400,000 filly by Sea The Stars, Group 2 winner at Deauville on third start in August last year and not beaten far in Group 1 Prix de l'Opera at Longchamp on Arc Day. Both French runs on soft but Goodwood debut win came on good ground. Huge player.

Forecasts

Terebellum (10/11), Magic Lily (9/4), Queen Power (9/2), Eva Maria (40/1), Sweet Promise (50/1), Ardiente (66/1), Bubble And Squeak (150/1)

Verdict

A strong hand for Godolphin here with TEREBELLUM and Magic Lily both entitled to major claims. Charlie Appleby's mare enjoyed a productive spring in Dubai and should go very close, but she must concede 3lb to the selection, who was third in the Prix de l'Opera when last spotted and should be at home on this quicker ground. Queen Power is a likely improver this year for top connections while Sweet Promise could run well at a decent price.
