Last win came at Windsor two years ago off 1lb higher but has run plenty of fine races in defeat since then. Usually needs a run or two to reach his peak so hard to recommend after five-month absence.
Thrived during 2018 including victory in the valuable Great St Wilfrid Handicap at Ripon. Found life tougher last term but has fallen back to a realistic mark and has won in the past on seasonal reappearance. Ideally suited by a sound surface.
Five-time 5f winner for Michael Appleby prior to joining current yard in February. Last of seven at Southwell soon after and has yet to score at this trip although has gone close in the past.
Useful juvenile for Alan King and was runner-up in Goodwood Group 2. Went close on debut for current yard when second at Kempton in November then bled time after at Lingfield. Returns from long break and might just be better for this outing.
Decent handicapper at his best and has eight victories to his name. Out of sorts second half of last season but has tumbled down the weights as a consequence and looks fairly handicapped if ready for this first run in nearly eight months.
Fair sort last seen failing narrowly off this amrk on Newmarket's July course last summer. 321 day absence to overcome and market should give some indication as to what is expected.
Grand servant who has won 11 races but hasn't scored since valuable prize at the Curragh in summer 2018. Returns following wind surgery but has often run well after a break so a bold show is by no means out of the question.
Landed sprint handicaps at Pontefract and Epsom last season off similar marks but is ideally suited by fairly quick conditions so any easing of the ground would not play to his strengths.

Gunmetal (5/2), Silent Echo (10/3), Deep Intrigue (7/2), Golden Apollo (6/1), Intisaab (7/1), Dunkerron (10/1), George Bowen (10/1), Alaadel (10/1), Mokaatil (16/1), Saaheq (22/1), Bungee Jump (25/1)
Plenty of options here with the relative fitness of the contenders more or less unknown. With his yard already having winners old GEORGE BOWEN may well bounce back to form having had a thin time of things last season. He has dropped to a more than feasible mark. Silent Echo and Gunmetal head the weights and both are very capable of their day, while Alaadel and Dunkerron are also interesting. If the wind surgery has done the trick it would not surprise to see veteran Intisaab get involved.
