Plenty of promise having placed in five of her nine starts, down the field when upped to 1m3f here in September in higher grade; the mare has run well fresh before and should give a solid account.

26 starts and more than three years since he last tasted success; ran well at times around here last year and not discounted with mark eased another 2lb now.

Two-time turf winner is 0-10 on artificial surfaces and yet to fully support theory he wants this trip (wins at 6f/1m); well held at Lingfield in February and more required.

Four-time winner on the AW, latest at Chelmsford over 1m2f in November; on a workable mark if bringing his A-game here.

Twice won over hurdles in May 2019 after joining this yard from Ireland though then disappointed in Listed Market Rasen contest. Has undergone a wind operation during off-season and fairly treated back on the level.

Busy sort, scored five wins during 2019 with three of those on the AW. Third in Wolverhampton claimer in March; capable of being involved if in the mood.

All six career wins have been on turf but has handled synthetic surfaces well enough in 12 attempts; just missed out on place money having started at 20-1 here over 1m4f in February.

Lightly-raced gelding, gained first AW win at third attempt when just holding on upped to 1m4f here in February. Just 2lb higher and could be more to come with this trip to suit.

Turf claimer winner last July but form has gone wayward since. Can't be discounted with class-drop and ease in the ratings here. Trainer also runs Junderstand.

Filly won a weak good-to-soft handicap at Carlisle over 1m in August last year; has gone well since in three runs including over 1m2f at Epsom (good). Makes AW debut here.

Experienced campaigner hasn't won on AW since September 2015 success over 1m3f here; best of last year's form leaves him with work to do on return to the Polytrack.

Ex-Dermot Weld inmate was third over 1m here on handicap debut in February when adopting usual front running tactics. Still low-mileage and could improve back up in distance.

Forecasts

St Gallen (3/1), Olympic Conqueror (7/2), Lexington Law (15/2), Wimpole Hall (9/1), Dawry (9/1), Noble Gift (14/1), Sootability (14/1), Junderstand (14/1), Rotherwick (14/1), Scofflaw (14/1), Thechildren'strust (25/1), Biotic (80/1)

Verdict

February's course winner Olympic Conqueror showed a likeable attitude to hold on that day and a 2lb rise is far from insurmountable now. Frontrunner Dawry should improve for this longer trip and the ex-Dermot Weld inmate has scope for better on just a second start in handicap company. It might prove that ST GALLEN is nicely treated off a mark of 74 back on the Flat given he twice won over timber last year after joining Olly Murphy. He has the champion jockey on board on his first outing after a wind op and gets the vote.
  1. St Gallen
  2. Olympic Conqueror
  3. Dawry
