Elzaam gelding, cost £13,000 in January. No match for a smart sort on debut at Chepstow but green that day and beat the rest well enough. Starts out for a new yard here and the trainer does well with these sorts; interesting.

Surprise winner on debut when bolting up at Redcar (6f) and showed that was no fluke when third of 28 in a valuable sales race at Newmarket. Provided he's trained on, he could be the one to beat; AW debut.

Acclamation filly, cost €50,000 at the Breeze-up sales. Looked sharp when winning on Tapeta at Wolverhampton on debut. Likely in need of more progress to win this but that's entirely possible and this stiffer test should suit.

Zebedee gelding, cost €10,500 as a yearling. Half-brother to a winner over this trip; dam a half-sister to useful sprinter. Likely second string for this yard but trainer can ready a newcomer.

Hot Streak colt, cost £70,000 as a Breeze-up purchase. Granddam a half-sister to US Grade 2 winner. Most interesting debutante in the line up, high draw could be against him with likely pace drawn low.

Helmet colt, dam placed at this trip and half-sister to a winner in Norway. Pedigree doesn't suggest he will be up to winning this.

Zebedee gelding, half-brother to four winners, largely over longer trips than this, dam a 1m winner. Likely to need this first outing.

Stimulation colt, cost 10,000 gns as a yearling. Half-brother to five winners, dam a winner over this trip in France. Tough race to make a debut in but worth a market check.

Cacique filly, cost 3,000 gns as a yearling. Half-sister to four winners including sprinters, dam a winner and half-sister to a Grade 2 winner. Best watched on debut.

Forecasts

Freedom Flyer (11/4), Bond's Boy (3/1), Blazing Hot (4/1), Little Red Socks (4/1), Ejtilaab (15/2), Edraak (16/1), Benefit Street (33/1), Unbreakable (40/1), Silver Sniper (80/1), Casilli (80/1), Nagamani (150/1), Hellfire Kode (250/1)

Verdict

It could be hard for the newcomers to get the better of those with experience in this contest and BOND'S BOY sets a solid standard on form with some impressive form from his two-year-old campaign. Little Red Socks could be a threat to the selection if she improves from her Wolverhampton win on debut while Edraak produced a promising debut when looking in need of the experience. Of the newcomers, Blazing Hot looks most interesting having been bought for £70,000 at the Breeze-ups.
  1. Bond's Boy
  2. Little Red Socks
  3. Blazing Hot
