Won an Ascot maiden on debut (6f), but was reported to have failed to stay when back there under a penalty last time (7f). Sticks to the same trip, so slight stamina concerns, but a repeat of his debut run would make him a serious contender.

210,000gns yearling. Eyecatching on pedigree, which also suggests that fast ground could suit.. Stable's juveniles 13% this season and do have some debut winners. Can probably go well.
Has beaten just three of his 23 opponents home in two starts so far. Can only watch.
Well beaten in both starts so far. Steps up again in trip again, but watching brief recommended.

Improved on his second start, when beaten just over 5L at Catterick. Should be capable of continuing that now stepped up to this trip. Could come into this on an each-way basis.

Half-brother to five winners, and out of a 1m winner. Stable juveniles 12% this season, and has had winners again in recent days after a relatively quiet spell by its standards. Could make a competitive debut.

Showed some promise on debut, but was well held on his more recent run at Ayr. Will probably appeal more when he has a handicap mark.

€20,000 yearling. Half-brother to a middle distance winner. Dam a French 1m winner at two. Stable's juveniles 14% this season and always merit respect. Could make a nice debut.

Full-brother to a Greek 6½f/GB 1m AW winner, out of 7f-1m winner. Nice enough pedigree and from a stable whose two-year-olds are at 15% this season. Could go well on debut.

Has shown some promise in both runs, her debut being marginally the better. May come up short here, but will be of interest in nurseries.

Out of sorts last time after minor promise on debut. May benefit from better ground here, but probably more interesting in nurseries.

Forecasts

Regular (3/1), Production (10/3), Fox Shinji (10/3), Jimmy Greenhough (9/2), Frankadore (6/1), Alfa Dawn (8/1), Myrmidons (16/1), My Little Orphan (16/1), Encore Mam'selle (20/1), Highwaygrey (33/1), Here's Rocco (40/1), Ganton Eagle (100/1)

Verdict

A back-to-form Production would be a serious player here, while Highwaygrey is not ruled out, but it is the newcomers that are of greater interest than the majority that we have already seen. Jimmy Greenhough is one of those that could show up well, Myrmidons is another, while Regular is probably an obvious contender. However, FOX SHINJI has a decent pedigree, represents a top yard that can have debut winners, while those bloodlines suggest that he could be suited by fast ground.
  1. Fox Shinji
  2. Production
  3. Regular
