Son of Zoffany who is gelded ahead of debut. Cost €35,000 as a foal decreasing to 6,250 gns as a yearling. Likely to need much further in time and best watched.

€25,000 euro colt by Bungle Inthejungle who was withdrawn at the start on his intended debut at Newcastle and then never featured at long odds at this track. Hard to make a case for.

Failed to build on early promise for Tom Dascombe and now makes debut for new stable after close second in a seller. Vulnerable to more progressive types.

Son of Gregorian bought for €40,000 at the sales as a yearling. Has shown little in two starts to date and easy to overlook.
Cost 21,000 gns as a yearling and gelded ahead of debut. Will need a much stiffer test on breeding and trainer's runners tend to improve with experience.

Bred to be forward as a juvenile and trainer well capable of readying a smart newcomer, so market will be informative. However stable are a touch quiet at present.

Son of Acclamation purchased for €110,000 as a yearling last September. Raced with a great deal of promise on debut and looked as though he'd come on considerably for the run. The form is working out well and should go well.

Son of French Fifteen that cost €40,000 as a yearling. Only showed up moderately on debut and failed to build on that in a French maiden. Improvement required to take a hand.

Well beaten at long odds in two races so far. Will need much further in time and future lies in staying handicaps after this.

Showed enormous progress from debut when a good third in a strong looking Beverley contest. Just didn't quite see out the trip so this half furlong less should suit and sets the standard.

By Vocalised out of a Galileo mare and was very green and little promise on debut. Will need to find considerable improvement.

By Kodiac and cost £68,000 as a yearling. Looks a likely type on paper for a leading trainer of juveniles and market support would prove significant.

Lieutenant Silver (9/4), Sameem (5/2), Irreverent (5/1), Castle Quarter (5/1), Urban Highway (8/1), Beaufort (11/1), Monsieur Piquer (12/1), Five Amarones (16/1), George Ridsdale (33/1), The Gabba (50/1), George Hastings (50/1), Dothraki (100/1), Neileta (100/1)

Verdict

Sameem would be a worthy favourite based on his second start and it would be no surprise to see him get his head in front, however LIEUTENANT SILVER is taken to build on a highly promising debut. He was beaten by inexperience but it was a very promising effort and the winner and fourth from the race have won since giving it a strong feel. Irreverent and in particular Urban Highway are interesting newcomers who should be monitored closely in the betting.
