Gained a third win in four starts in Listed company at Epsom in April. Found the Dante too tough last time out but still lightly raced and there's more to come for a yard flying at present. Dettori prefers Main Street.

Won on debut at here over 7f and not disgraced in a Group 3 at Newmarket at the end of 2017. Only just run out of things late at Windsor and ran with credit in the German Guineas last time. Should continue to improve.

Won a maiden at Newmarket on his second start last year. Has run with promise in his two starts this time around but his propensity to miss the break perhaps compromising his chance and he has plenty to find on form.

Won a maiden on his return at Naas in heavy ground and ran with credit in Group 3 races at Sandown and Chester. Best effort yet when sixth in the French Derby last time and he's worthy of plenty of respect with more progress on the cards.

Won his sole start as a juvenile at Newmarket and returned with a Listed win back at that course last month. Finished behind Hunting Horn in the French Derby but less exposed than that rival and should continue to improve.

Won twice at Chelmsford either side of his winter break and improved to finish runner-up in Listed company at Goodwood last time. This is tougher again but clearly going the right way and he's the pick of the stable jockey.

Justified favouritism in a Doncaster handicap last month but struggled in a deeper race at Newbury last time and has plenty of improvement to find on that showing.

Ran a huge race on debut when only just touched off at Newbury last time at 50/1 with the front two pulling 6L clear of their rivals. This is a tough ask on just his second start but improvement likely and may be able to challenge for the places.

Overcame inexperience when green on debut at Doncaster, beating a useful field in the process and the runner-up has won since, albeit at a lower level. Should play a big part here and yard won this last year with subsequent Group 1 winner Benbatl.

Won his first two starts in impressive fashion and well backed for the Dante at York last time before disappointing. Not seen to best effect there, switched to an unfavoured part of the track and may do better here. Second string on jockey bookings.

Won on debut for this yard after some promising runs for John Gosden on AW but found out to some extent at Chester last time when upped in class and others arrive with stronger form and less exposed profiles.

Promise on debut as a juvenile and made a winning return when impressive at Windsor. Found out to some extent in a strong renewal of a Listed race at Sandown last time and has a bit to find on form here. May improve for the step back up in trip.

Not won since debut but has run well on both starts this term at Sandown and the form of his recent third in Listed class given a huge boost by the winner landing a Group 1 here on Tuesday. Not one to underestimate if coping with the quick ground.

Impressive winner at Newmarket on his return to action on just his second start and expected to carry on his progress having shown the potential to improve for the step up in trip. Fascinating contender.

Kept some smart company last year and made a winning start for his new connections at Thirsk. Beaten on AW at Chelmsford last time though and may do better given more time.

Forecasts

Key Victory (7/2), Hunting Horn (5/1), Wadilsafa (5/1), Nordic Lights (7/1), National Army (10/1), Zaaki (14/1), Main Street (14/1), Crossed Baton (16/1), Masaarr (16/1), Stephensons Rocket (20/1), Mini P (20/1), Silver Quartz (20/1), Fajjaj (25/1), Vintager (28/1), Global Giant (100/1), Shakour (100/1)

Verdict

It may be worth taking a chance on NATIONAL ARMY on just his second career start after a very impressive debut at Doncaster and the yard won this last year with Benbatl who went on the win the Dubai Turf. Hunting Horn and Key Victory both ran well in the French Derby last time and the latter may be able to reverse the form here. Fajjaj could prove to be the main danger though if he takes another step forward for the step up in trip here after a respectable run in the German 2,000 Guineas.
  1. National Army
  2. Fajjaj
  3. Key Victory
