12/1
Successful over the extended mile at Nottingham last month (good to soft); when making all. However, beaten from this revised 5lb higher mark subsequently, and lacks much in the way of AW experience.

Miracle Gardenv7
Age: 5|  Weight: 9-9| J: S Donohoe| T: Ian Williams| OR:  76
9/4
Landed a touch in first time blinkers at Wolverhampton (6f) in late September, and has continued to perform well in a visor since, including when just failing to catch Pearl Spectre over 7f here last week. Worth a try over 1m.

100,000 gns juvenile who was a ready 2L winner of a Wolverhampton maiden over the extended mile in March. Off until a low-key return on turf last month, and cheek-pieces now go on for just his second start in a handicap.

9/1
Arrives seeking the hat-trick following victories at Lingfield (1m) and Wolverhampton (7f). Raised just 2lb for her latest short-head success, and only seems to keep doing just enough, which isn't necessarily a bad characteristic in handicaps.

Highland Pass20
Age: 3|  Weight: 9-5| J: David Probert| T: A M Balding| OR:  74| D
10/1
Winner of a 7f+ Chester maiden in May (good to firm), she's made only steady progress in handicaps. However, shaped as if she needed the return to action at Newbury last month (off since July), and no back number.

Shamrokh12
Age: 3|  Weight: 9-4| J: D C Costello| T: M Appleby| OR:  73| D
9/2
A 7f Newcastle maiden winner for John Gosden in January, he proved disappointing for this trainer after costing 27,000 gns in May. However, much better when beaten 2L by Roll On Rory at Newmarket latest, and noteworthy despite a 3lb rise.

Carnival King19
Age: 5|  Weight: 9-4| J: Josephine Gordon| T: Miss A Murphy| OR:  71
25/1
Not won since August 2016 (Yarmouth) and regressive since joining this trainer for 11,000 gns in October 2016. Falling sharply down the handicap.

Pinnatat52
Age: 3|  Weight: 9-4| J: S M Levey| T: S C Williams| OR:  73| D
9/2
€720,000 yearling who was unraced for Godolphin and knocked down for just £8,000 in November 2016. Slow to make his mark, but a winner at Chepstow in June (1m), he was beaten just ½L at Kempton latest. Up 5lb.

Titan Goddess12
Age: 5|  Weight: 9-2| J: S W Kelly| T: M Murphy| OR:  69| CD
14/1
A four time career winner, twice on the AW, including over C&D on her penultimate start. Remains 4lb higher than when beating Mach One by a head, but continues to perform consistently well.

Produced a career best performance when beaten by a fast diminishing ½L at Lingfield last month (by tonight's rival Dashing Poet), and returns to action off an unadjusted mark. Potentially more to offer.

25/1
Raised 2lb for her narrow defeat of Zafaranah at Lingfield last month, but was unable to follow up that success at Kempton earlier this month. Unbeaten at this track (a 5f winner here in March).

Muthraab Aldaar24
Age: 4|  Weight: 8-9| J: J Mitchell| T: J R Boyle| OR:  62
100/1
A winner of a moderate 1m+ handicap at Wolverhampton in June, he's seemingly lost his way of late, and whilst technically on a fair mark looks difficult to build a case for at present.

Forecasts

Miracle Garden (9/4), Pinnata (9/2), Shamrokh (9/2), William Sayle (6/1), Dreaming Time (9/1), Highland Pass (10/1), Harlequin Striker (12/1), Titan Goddess (14/1), Zafaranah (20/1), Carnival King (25/1), Dashing Poet (25/1), Muthraab Aldaar (100/1)

Verdict

An open contest in which plenty can be considered including the likes of Miracle Garden, Dreaming Time, Shamrock, Pinnata, Titan Goddess and Zafaranah. However, you have to nail your colours to the mast in these type of contests and just hope that you can hit the winner. Therefore, a chance is taken on the Andrew Balding trained filly HIGHLAND PASS. She shaped with promise when perhaps needing the race at Newbury late last month, and from a relatively fair looking mark appears wholly unexposed on synthetics.
