5/1
Very promising in maidens but slightly disappointing since switching to handicap company, including when finish last at Lingfield latest at 5/2. Dropped just 1lb but tongue-strap added for AW debut and would be a big player on her best form.

Good strike-rate on AW surfaces but yet to get to the level she achieved when trained in Ireland. Performance over 5f here latest hinted at a revival, however.

Veena167
Age: 4|  Weight: 9-5| J: L Morris| T: D M Simcock| OR:  78| CD
9/1
C&D winner who was outclassed in Listed company last time out but had very attractive form on the AW prior to that. On the same mark as when running well here two starts ago and holds leading claims after a break.

All three wins over 5f but looks like she should be capable of winning races over further than the minimum trip and she goes particularly well on this surface.

Good form over this trip on turf but has questions to answer over her current handicap mark after two recent performances and how she will handle this surface on return to AW.

Has been in fine form since switching to this surface but generally seems best over 5f (has won over this distance in the past though) and others hold more convincing claims.

Nuns Walk7

11/4
Has made a good start to her handicap career, winning once and being denied only narrowly over this C&D last time out. Despite being a class higher this seems to be a not much more competitive affair and she should run another big race.

Age: 4|  Weight: 8-4| J: Cam Hardie| T: A Brittain| OR:  63| D
28/1
Was in good form over the summer but performances have leveled off since and her recent efforts, including over C&D two starts ago, would not be enough here.

Forecasts

Nuns Walk (11/4), Fruit Salad (7/2), Tilly Trotter (4/1), Cashla Bay (5/1), Penny Pot Lane (8/1), Veena (9/1), French (28/1), Economic Crisis (40/1)

Verdict

Cashla Bay looked a highly promising filly at one point but has been disappointing in handicaps and is left with plenty of questions to answer on her AW debut. Ready preference is for VEENA. This C&D winner was outclassed in a Listed race last time but always seems at her best on a synthetic surface and is on the same mark as when beaten only just over a length over C&D two starts ago. She can make her return from a break a winning one, while Fruit Salad is also of interest stepped back up to 6f.
  1. Veena
  2. Fruit Salad
  3. Cashla Bay
