Not for the first time came out of the clouds to win at Sedgefield last time (still well down jumping the last) when suited by the strong pace. Needs that same scenario to be successful again here but now carries a 7lb penalty in his follow-up bid.
2
Horse silk
Sackfullofdreamst63
Age: 4|  Weight: 11-12| J: Charlie Hammond| T: Mike Hammond| OR:  100
20/1
Looked to have totally lost his way when last seen in Ireland taking a strong hold and tailing off quickly. Now makes his GB debut for a new yard but hard to have much confidence in.
3
Horse silk
Chilli Romancet19
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-8| J: Mr Patrick Berkins(5)| T: F O'Brien| OR:  96
7/1
Managed to arrest the slide down the handicap last time out with a tongue-tie back on at Stratford coming back from a break. That was a step back in the right direction but it remains to be seen if she can build on that run.
4
Horse silk
Jeremy's Jett32
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-7| J: Jordan Nailor(3)| T: A W Carroll| OR:  95
16/1
Yet to win a race under either code and has run poorly on the Flat of late. Showed a little more last time over hurdles without putting in a display that has you rushing to support him here.
5
Horse silk
Dizzey Heightsh8(ex 7)
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-7| J: Harry Teal| T: N B King| OR:  88| D
7/2
Dropped 4lb from her initial mark she showed improved form to score at Fakenham (2m) on her last start and deserves extra credit for the win coming from off the pace in slowly run race. Runs here under a penalty; could be more to come.
6
Horse silk
Comber Millh14
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-6| J: Fergus Gregory| T: A Ralph| OR:  94
10/1
Looked to make a considerable step forward in terms of form on his 8th start over C&D last time in a hood for the first time. 100/1 and finished close up to the principals and now makes handicap debut but far from certain to reproduce that form.
7
Horse silk
Oscar's Songt29
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-6| J: William Marshall(5)| T: D Skelton| OR:  94
7/1
Most of her form is modest and her one handicap start so far left her with questions to answer although she is down 4lb here. Failed to complete in novice company last time and failed to settle on that occasion.
8
Horse silk
Bring Back Charliep19
Age: 7|  Weight: 11-5| J: Tom Humphries(3)| T: N A Twiston-Davies| OR:  93| D
4/1
A record over hurdles of 1/20 doesn't really make him a solid proposition here although he has shown a little more of late. Left with a lot to do in two of his last three races the chances are he could get behind here.
9
Horse silk
Pension Madness59
Age: 4|  Weight: 10-12| J: R J Condon| T: J Farrelly| OR:  86
5/1
The sort that this yard do well with and it would be no surprise to see him spring to life at some point off a mark that is getting into the basement now. Ran with credit last time (visor on for first time) and may make an impression here.
10
Horse silk
Honour A Promise722
Age: 9|  Weight: 10-9| J: Miss Sophie Smith(5)| T: P R Webber| OR:  83
25/1
Last seen in 2015 and although she showed glimpses of promise back then the chances are she will need this and best watched for now.
11
Horse silk
Trendy Nurseh,t57
Age: 9|  Weight: 10-6| J: Miss L K Hammond(5)| T: K G Wingrove| OR:  80
25/1
Yet to win a race but has shown some ability on both her starts for this yard although jumping remains her Achilles heel. Certainly shaped better than her final position last time and has a chance if her jumping could be relied on.
12
Horse silk
Luca Brazi32
Age: 5|  Weight: 10-0| J: Graham Carson(3)| T: A Sadik| OR:  69
33/1
No form to speak of over hurdles with his most recent two outings since joining this yard particularly poor. Runs from out of the handicap and would be a shock winner of this.

Forecasts

Dizzey Heights (7/2), Bring Back Charlie (4/1), Pension Madness (5/1), Oscar's Song (7/1), Chilli Romance (7/1), Bollin Line (8/1), Comber Mill (10/1), Jeremy's Jet (16/1), Sackfullofdreams (20/1), Trendy Nurse (25/1), Honour A Promise (25/1), Luca Brazi (33/1)

Verdict

With a combined record over hurdles between them of 4/116 this isn’t an event for the feint-hearted and only three of them have ever won a race over hurdles. The only dual winner in the field is Bollin Line who carries a penalty here and there must be a doubt if he can pull of another dramatic come-from-behind victory. Bring Back Charlie is another winner in the field but he’s had 20 attempts over hurdles and is often given plenty to do. DIZZEY HEIGHTS did well to win last time out quickening up well of a slow pace and she may well be able to follow-up in this modest event. Of those who are without a win Pension Madness and Comber Mill would make the most appeal although the winners in the field would most likely have to underperform.
  1. Dizzey Heights
  2. Pension Madness
  3. Bring Back Charlie
