Attracted a marked drift in the market on his British debut at Fontwell and finished a disappointing 5th. Managed to atone for that last time out but had a lot to thank the weak finishing effort of his main rival for in winning; will find this tougher under a penalty.
Stable in good health at the moment and this one overcame keenness and some jumping errors to win on his debut. Penalty negated her by the use of a 10lb claimer although he'll need to jump/settle better to follow-up.

Looked a real stayer on the Flat and this test may prove a little sharp now that he's switched to hurdles. Has won on the Flat so not totally written off here from a good yard that are more than capable of winning with this type.

Failed to win on the Flat when trained by Marjorie Fife but did run with credit in a 1m2f handicap for the yard on his last start. New yard have made a fair start to the season and he's well worth a market check.

Very easy to back when making his bumper debut eventually only beating one home at Huntingdon. Looked to find it all happening too quick in that and it could well be the same story here and further could be needed.

Remained a maiden on the Flat when with David Barron (finished second in a seller on his last start for him) and made no show on his hurdles debut for this team. Jumped poorly on that occasion and hard to see him involved here.

Showed a little promise on his sole Flat outing for Martyn Meade in an AW maiden at Kempton over 1m3f. Cost current connections 12,000 gns and may be able to show a little more in this sphere although the chances are she will need this.

Didn't show much promise on the Flat and there is even less of that commodity on show over the jumps; best left alone here.
9
Horse silk
8/1
Won twice on the Flat when with Mark Johnston the last win coming over 1m2f but hasn't looked to have the same ability over hurdles and has struggled to match is Flat form. Ran a distant second last time versus a useful sort and handicaps await.
10
Horse silk
25/1
Very much the stable second string having been tried over a variety of trip on the Flat and finishing well held on his hurdling debut recently.
11
Horse silk
150/1
Showed very little on the Flat finishing well beaten on five starts starting at big prices all the time and likely to be outclassed here.

Forecasts

Thounder (15/8), Risk And Roll (5/2), Broadway Dreams (7/2), Black Prince (5/1), Il Sicario (8/1), Pacofilha (8/1), Marettimo (25/1), Eggesford (66/1), Crindle Carr (100/1), Cloud Hopper (100/1), Hi There Silver (100/1), Dartmoor Girl (150/1)

Verdict

Both of the penalised runners look as though they could be vulnerable but they may well be saved by the lack of a decent newcomer in this with very few on show looking as though they can take advantage of the weight they receive. THOUNDER may need to settle better than on his debut but in a way it was still impressive that he could win having pulled so hard. Risk And Roll now gets the cheekpieces added to a tongue-tie but he looks one of the stables lesser lights. It’s hard to be that confident about any of the others although Black Prince looks to hold some potential in this sphere with the decent Flat maiden Broadway Dreams looking as though he may be the major danger.
  1. Thounder
  2. Risk And Roll
  3. Broadway Dreams
