Frankel filly, dam a half-sister to Group 1 winner Seal of Approval and Listed winner Gale Force. Very impressive when justifying favouritism on debut over C&D but likely softer ground is a slight concern and she'll need improvement to figure.
Havana Gold filly, cost €4,000 as a yearling but cost £64,000 at the Breeze-Ups. Impressive on Beverley debut but found the step up in class too much to cope with at Royal Ascot. Will find this even tougher but trainer does well with sprinters.

Improving with racing and winner of her last two outings over this trip. Most recent effort came in a Group 2 contest when travelling beautifully into the race and she gives the impression we are yet to see the best of her. Yard won this last year.

C&D winner on debut but well beaten in a Group 3 last time when outpaced early. This is tougher again and may struggle.

Running well this year and not disgraced in a couple of efforts in Group company but this is her toughest test yet and she looks a level or two below what's required here.

Dabirism fily, bought for just €8,000 as a foal but won both her starts in France before landing a Group 3 at Royal Ascot. Not disgraced in Group 1 company back in France last time when third of eight and should make her presence felt once again.

Followed a soft ground Listed win at Newbury with a solid effort in Group 3 company at Salisbury last time. Plenty more on her plate here but she'll enjoy any rain that falls at least and can't be ruled out for a place.

Listed winner at Newbury before finishing runner-up to Threading last time out at York. Will need to improve to reverse the form with that rival in what is likely to be similar conditions and others a little less exposed.

Maiden after four starts but produced a big run when 66/1 behind Heartache at Royal Ascot. Proved a bit disappointing in a Listed race the next time but step up in trip may see her in a better light and sire's progeny tend to enjoy soft ground.

Won a Goodwood maiden in fine style before landing a Group 2 on second start, finishing in front of Madeline. Less exposed than that rival and many others in here so ought to go well having proven herself in rain softened conditions.

Has gone from strength-to-strength this year and produced a career best in a Group 3 last time at the Curragh. Shapes like she may appreciate the step up in trip but Murphy likely to have had the choice and he prefers Special Purpose .

Forecasts

Clemmie (15/8), Threading (5/2), Different League (4/1), Heartache (4/1), Madeline (8/1), Eirene (14/1), Betty F (16/1), Special Purpose (20/1), Crossing The Line (28/1), Treasuring (33/1), Now You're Talking (50/1), Darkanna (66/1), Chica La Habana (66/1)

Verdict

There was plenty to like about the way CLEMMIE won here over C&D in a Group 2 last time out and the yard will be looking to land back-to-back renewals after Brave Anna's success in the race last year. Threading is less exposed than most and should go close if she takes another step forward from her Group win at York last time but Heartache looks the main danger after getting back on track with a Group 2 win at Doncaster and the yard's juveniles are enjoying a fine season.
  1. Clemmie
  2. Heartache
