Won twice over this sort of trip earlier in the season and has a heavy ground course win to his name. Goes into this 3lb higher than his best winning mark, but should again be competitive.
Busy and largely consistent this term, winning similar races over 1m4f at York and Ripon (soft) in July. Stays 1m5f and though yet to be tried over this far, his grandam was a Yorkshire Oaks winner, so possible that he could improve a little more.
Listed winner in France, where he was also placed in a Group 3 over 1m7f last year. Acts with cut and although yet to get competitive since joining this yard, the handicapper is now cutting him some slack. Interesting.
Stays 2m and acts with cut in the ground, though she has yet to win on going slower than good. Beaten just 1L from this mark at Ascot last month and likely to be very competitive back in this grade.
Has won three this year, including on soft ground over this trip at Catterick. This is stronger and he was held from this 5lb higher mark last time (over 1m4f), so despite being unexposed over this trip, he needs to improve to win again.
Thorough stayer whose wins have all been over 1m6f/2m. Handles good to soft, though his optimum conditions are probably quicker than that. Beaten just 1½L from this mark at Musselburgh last month and should be thereabouts again.
Seeking a four-timer after winning with something to spare at Ayr (1m2f), Thirsk and Hamilton (both 1m4f), two of those with cut in the ground. Has gone up 10lb for the last of those and has to prove she has both the stamina and class for this.
Both of his turf wins have been on soft ground at up to 1m4f. Yet to be tried over this far, but dam won over the trip and therefore some optimism that he may be able to bridge a 4lb rose for his latest victory.
Scored over this trip on fast ground last year at Nottingham and went well back over that C&D last month on good to soft. Needs a bit more from this mark and in this grade.
Expect another very solid effort from My Reward and stablemate Mukhayyam, who may improve again now stepped up in trip, while the Mark Johnston-trained pair Jameeh and Pumblechook can't be ruled out. Sepal could find this hike in the weights tough to handle and both Graceland and Great Fighter could make more of an impact. However, the suggestion is CLEONTE, who has slipped to what could be a very competitive mark and goes well with cut in the ground.
