Yet to place in eight starts to date but signs of ability when dropped back to this trip at Newton Abbot last time out when sixth of 14 and beaten just 7L. Needs to build on that now on chase debut.

Bumper winner running to a consistent level over hurdles lately. Looks the type to make a better chaser and has to be of interest for a trainer and jockey with a fine strike-rate around here.

Point-to-point winner struggling for form over hurdles on recent starts. Tailed off at Uttoxeter last time and needs to improve for the switch to fences.

Still a maiden after 11 starts and pulled up at Worcester on sole start over fences. Didn't look like a natural over the larger obstacles that day and likely to struggle in this contest.

Unplaced in five starts over hurdles last year and toiling this year in point-to-points, makes little appeal coming back under rules for a first chase start, despite his new yard being in excellent form.

Largely disappointing under Rules until last time out at Uttoxeter, when improving to finish third of nine and could make into a useful chaser. Trainer's strike-rate stands at over 24% at this course and this gelding gets the services of an excellent 3lb claimer. Should go well if backing up his latest effort.

Maiden hurdle winner just over a year ago but not shown enough nine starts for this yard over timber to be of interest here, particularly after a below par effort at Worcester last time.

Winner at Southwell two starts back but didn't get far at Perth in follow up bid earlier in the month. Doesn't look to be the most straightforward sort and this looks like a stronger race than he's been contesting.

Has run okay in two starts at Stratford this year, improving on his form from last season. Too keen to do himself justice last time and needs to settle better if he's to be considered for win purposes.

Back to form with a solid effort at Cartmel last time but still not settling in his races properly. Not always the best jumper either so switch to fences probably not ideal but certainly looks well-handicapped on bits and pieces of his form, particularly on the Flat.

Refused to race at Worcester last time and tailed off the time before. Operating from well out of the handicap on chase debut and likely to struggle.
