Another specialist at this trip and dual Listed winner who has also scored over C&D. Goes best on ground from good through to soft and a 4lb drop going into this should see him get very competitive again.
Has enjoyed most of his successes over 6f, but gets this trip and has run some good races over it too. 2lb higher than his best winning mark going into this race and will have to be at his best to win it. Rain would be a help.
Won this race last year from a 2lb lower mark and has not added to that in 11 subsequent starts, despite running some very good races over both this trip and 6f. If he could return to his form from the autumn then he would have a big chance of a repeat from this mark. Not ground dependent.
Both his wins were with some cut in the ground when with Saeed bin Suroor and he was good enough to finish a nose runner-up in Group Three company in 2015. Clearly had his problems since, with only one further start and now resumes with new yard for his first run since February 2016. Probably best watched this time.
Races over his optimum trip, having scored five times over it on good to firm or good to soft. Has been placed twice from this mark this season, though is yet to win from higher than 89, so will need to improve to add another success to his CV.
Relishes this trip and usually a bit of cut in the ground (has won on fast ground too). Goes into this 4lb higher than when winning a weaker race at Catterick last month and although he was not disgraced in a similar race to this at the last meeting here, he is going to need some improvement to win in this company.
Likeable gelding who has plenty of winning form over both 6f and this trip at lower levels and ran well in a class two at Ayr (1m, good) last time. This is tougher and he could go well but still not make it into the money.
Goes well here, having been out of the frame just once from four visits, the most recent in May being a winning one over C&D (soft). Not ground dependent and remains on the same mark as when a 1L third at Sandown last time. Cheekpieces retained for this and he will need to find a bit more, but he remains unexposed and interesting.
Consistent performer who has two 7½f wins to her name at Beverley (good to firm) and Chester (soft) already this season. Just held when a running-on second back at Chester (7f, good to soft) last time and nudged up another 3lb for that, but improving and looks capable of having a big say here.
Gave Starlight Romance 13lb and was beaten 1½L by her at Beverley in April, though after winning next time at Doncaster (7f, good to firm), he has been found out by the handicapper. Only 1lb higher than that win today, though looks to be better on faster ground than he is likely to get.

Battered (15/8), Get Knotted (4/1), Starlight Romance (9/2), Salateen (6/1), Twin Appeal (7/1), Von Blucher (10/1), Fingal's Cave (14/1), Right Touch (16/1), Aardwolf (20/1), Al Khan (25/1), Start Time (25/1)
A competitive curtain raiser and STARLIGHT ROMANCE is taken to win it. Richard Fahey's filly is making good strides this season, is not ground dependent and should at the very least be very competitive again. Battered is feared given his love for this place, while previous winners Salateen and Get Knotted should both be heavily involved and Von Blucher cannot be ruled out after the handicapper has now relented.
