One of the more progressive individuals in the field who was scoring for the third time when winning a handicap at Thirsk last time. Looks likely to remain on the up and the stall 1 draw means he'll be able to get a decent position.

Came back to form last time out over C&D under the same pilot as today looking as though he was going to win all the way up the home straight. Looks well handicapped but does look to have his quirks and might need to holding onto until the last moment.

Won a 7f maiden last time looking well suited by the drop in trip (won with a bit to spare) and looks to have the ability to win handicaps. This mark doesn't look an easy one though and well placed to go forward from a decent draw.

Races off a slightly lower mark on turf having won twice this season on AW surfaces with his last win coming off a 3lb higher mark at Chelmsford City over a mile. Does like to go forward and faces some pace pressure here but not totally left out of calculations.

Cheekpieces go on for the first time after some disappointing recent efforts and struggled even more when unable to dominate last time over C&D. Will struggle to get into a lead here from a wide draw and with pace pressure likely.

One of two from this stable in the race who will be ridden by a very competent apprentice. Has shown good form this year wining a maiden and a handicap and only just touched off last time when going for his hat-trick at Beverley (just ran too free) and one of the more obvious types here if he settles better.

Hard to crab him as he has won twice this year over 7f at Musselburgh and Catterick travelling well on both occasions. Can look a little soft in the finish and was all out to hold on last time out and up 3lb from his last run this looks a little tougher.

A dual winner on the AW earlier in the year over 7f at Chelmsford and Wolverhampton she's been held on his four outings off higher marks again on the AW since. Now returned to turf having not shown much in the past on turf and still has that high mark to cope with.

Dual French winner last year (both wins coming with cut in the ground) but hasn't shown much in his initial three outing for this yard and can only be watched here.

Lady In Question17
Age: 3|  Weight: 8-11| J: Richard Oliver| T: R A Fahey| OR:  70| BF
20/1
Off the mark on her first career run over 6f but hasn't won again since and although she was well-backed last time out (wore first-time cheekpieces) she didn't look a winner waiting to happen and has work to do with Our Charlie Brown.

Forecasts

Original Choice (2/1), Dan Troop (7/2), Armandihan (11/2), Intimate Art (6/1), Plant Pot Power (13/2), Our Charlie Brown (16/1), Lady In Question (20/1), Arc Royal (20/1), Something Brewing (28/1), Toy Theatre (33/1)

Verdict

There are one or two that are capable here but have a few quirks in them like Plant Pot Power and Armandihan both of whom need handling with care. Dan Troop is one that has been in good form this year and will play a part here if he learns to settle better while Our Charlie Brown might just be found out off this mark and its ORIGINAL CHOICE who gets the vote here as he bids to continue his upward curve.
  1. Original Choice
  2. Dan Troop
  3. Armandihan
