Winner of four races here over a mile and has form over this trip around Ayr. Remains to be seen if he can produce his best over this C&D with a handicap mark that demands improvement.
Has looked difficult to train and two layoffs this year indicate further challenges faced by his trainer. Well handicapped if he ever returns to his best but his latest effort suggests that is some way off.
Produced a career best to score at Hamilton in May and not disgraced in both starts since. Yet to win over this trip but has gone close on last two runs over this C&D.
Getting on for a couple of years now since a win but started the season on a career low mark and has looked rather unlucky in a couple of races most notably on his most recent start at Beverley over an extended mile. Yet to tackle this trip but his latest effort suggests there is merit in the expriement.
Scored over 1m4f at Wolverhampton last summer but has been well beaten in all starts since including twice here. Handicap mark continues to fall and one to note when the market speaks in his favour.
Made the most of an easing AW mark (67) when beating Henpecked by 1¾ over C&D a month ago and had little luck in running in a tactical affair here in midweek. Has obvious claims to gain compensation off a lower mark than his peak of last year.
Scored impressively over C&D a month ago but well beaten since off this revised mark in higher grade. Takes another step up in class and has plenty to prove.
0-8 so far, having been runner-up in a 1m2f Epsom handicap (good) in September as his only showing among the prize money. 2lb lower than that today, but well beaten in all of his last three starts and hard to enthuse about a sudden return to form
Has been in good form over hurdles recently. Has been mainly campaigning over longer trips but switches back to a trip and surface which produced his sole Flat success. Had plenty of use made of him that day and similar tactics could be fruitful off a career low mark.

AUSPICION remains well treated and is out to gain quick compensation following a midweek run when he failed to gain a clear passage. Gerry The Glover is interesting on his first attempt at this trip whilst Arabian Oasis has the potential to steal this off the front from a competitive mark. Testa Rossa and Rockwood are two course specialists who are not easily dismissed despite marks which demand further improvement.
