He has dropped 10lb in the last 12 months and is looking well handicapped on his best form in conditions races. Up to 6f and there is a doubt he will get this far on a track as stiff as this.

Impressive when scoring at Ascot last time when racing on the best ground and having the run of the race. An 11lb rise in the weights asks serious questions but the trainer has proven himself a master with this type. Interesting to see a top rider having his first mount for the yard and if connections had any doubts about the mark, then a claimer would probably have been employed.

Robero failed to make the cut for the Wokingham last week and is routed here in his bid to follow up his romp at Ascot in May. The handicapper has hit him hard but Mick Easterby has produced significant improvement from his top handicappers over the years and there could be a lot more to come. Unabated won well here last time and obviously goes well when fresh. Amazour bids to follow up last year's success but just looks a shade too high in the weights to win whilst not being far away. MAZZINI looks the type to have a decent AW prize in him. He was given a lot to do last time around Chelmsford and the winner had flown by the time he got going. His trainer has an excellent 5-9 record here in June/July and is currently in good form.
