Won the Greenham at Newbury in impressive fashion two starts back and not beaten far in the 2,000 Guineas last time behind the re-opposing Chruchill. Could go even better on a less complicated track and no surprise if he gives that rival an even bigger run for his money this time around.
Already a four-time Group 1 winner and appears to be a thoroughly straightforward, reliable sort. Has the beating of his closest rivals on both of his starts this year in his two 2,000 Guineas wins either side of the Irish Sea and looks like the one to beat for connections who have won four of the last ten renewals of this contest.
Won a Class 2 at Newcastle in April but finished well beaten in the Dante and has his work cut out to make any sort of impression against rivals who have been there and done it already at this level.
Just one win from nine starts but has been tried and not disgraced at the highest level. Likely to be in here on pacemaking duties once again but may be able to hold on for a place.
Winner of a local Group Two in Doha before finishing a respectable second at Lingfield in a Listed contest earlier in the year. Well beaten on his last couple of starts though and has in excess of a stone to make up on offical ratings if he's to even gain a place in this company.
Won the Group 3 Anglesey Stakes at the Curragh last season but struggled in Group 1 company after that and well beaten on both starts this season. All hopes appear to cling on to the first-time headgear combination bringing about improvement.
Won the Racing Post Trophy on final start of 2016 and improved for his reappearance in the Craven Stakes with a fair effort on soft ground in a French Group 1. Struggled in the French Derby last time out but capable of grabbing a place in this company.
Had a solid two-year-old campaign which saw him finish 2L fourth to Churchill at Newmarket in the Dewhurst and followed that up with a Group 1 win at Saint-Cloud in October. Behind Churchill again at the Curragh in the 2,000 Guineas and looks held on that form. First-time cheekpieces need to bring about some improvement.
Godolphin recruits Barney Roy and Thunder Snow have their work cut out to turn the form around with CHURCHILL from their most recent outings. The aforementioned Richard Hannon runner may improve for the switch to this course and the trainer has a fine record of over 25% when teaming up with this jockey but it's dual Guineas winner Churchill who will prove tough to beat in his bid for a fifth consecutive Group 1 win.
