Looked promising when landing a Salisbury maiden as a 2yo, but has cut little ice in two starts this season, including last time out when 12th of 13 beaten 16L in a Kempton handicap over 1m3f.

Won on turf for Tommy Stack at Naas last September (1m, yielding) and has run well enough on three recent starts, on the All-Weather, since joining current yard.

Bought from Charles Hills for £13,000 for whom there were signs of progress when sent handicapping. Making his debut for this yard when a close fourth in a ten runner contest over 1m at Windsor on good to soft at the end of May.

Bought for £18,000 as a yearling. Showed a good turn of foot to score on debut at Kempton in February. The runner-up is nothing special but the third looked useful when winning next time. Well beaten on last two starts including here in April.

Well beaten when making his debut over 7f at Newmarket (good-to-firm) in September last year. Shaped better here when fifth of 13 in May, soft ground looked not to suit last time out in a Newbury maiden. Handicap debut.

Has shown steady progression in four maidens, on All-Weather, over 7f and a mile and showed her best form at Kempton in February, finishing third of 10. Fifth of 11 beaten 2¾L last time out in a Lingfield handicap, interesting on turf debut and head-turning jockey booking.

Forecasts

Prosecution (11/8), Settle Petal (6/1), African (7/1), Hawridge Glory (7/1), Gravity Wave (7/1), It's How We Roll (8/1), Sandy Shores (10/1), Broad Appeal (16/1), Red Emperor (16/1), Duchess Of Fife (20/1), Olympic Legend (25/1), Hi Milady (25/1)

Verdict

Settle Petal and Hi Milady from their draws could be the ones to lead here in the early stages. Jockey Richard Kingscote could settle the Hughie Morrison-trained PROSECUTION, setting the Lawman colt up for his first win, following an encouraging handicap debut at Leicester over 1m2f on good to soft when fourth of 12 beaten 2¾L. The Brian Meehan-trained Sandy Shores should give the selection most to think about, with possibly Settle Petal hanging on for a place.
