Has never really built on the promise of his debut run only scoring once since off a mark of 89 in a Pontefract handicap over 1m4f. It's been all downhill since and he's proved hard to settle in most of his races and despite the falling mark he's hard to recommend.

Course winner who has to overcome a losing run but made a good impression on his first run for this yard here over slightly shorter. Certainly looks on a workable mark but can be slowly away on occasions.

Got himself really worked up (sweating very freely) when successful at Nottingham last time out adopting his usual front-running role. Ran (at the time) a career best over C&D last year when typically making all off a mark of 62 and managed to win last time out off a mark of 65. Looks sure to get another easy lead and still not badly treated off a 3lb higher mark.

Was quite a useful sort when with Henry Candy but hasn't really fired on three AW starts for this yard and will need a return to turf and a falling mark to see her take a hand here.

8/1
C&D winner who has probably needed his two runs here so far this year showing up relatively well before fading in the closing stages both times. Has slipped back below his last winning mark now and looks likely to be involved here around a course that appears to suit well.

6/1
Lightly-raced sort who looks unexposed and has just his second run for this yard and his third in a handicap here. Ran a respectable race last time over C&D and may well do better with the handicapper leaving him on the same mark.

This C&D winner is possibly a little bit better than his last run shows as he travelled well only to be short of room in the closing stages. Not really suited by the run of the race and still above his last winning mark.

Forecasts

Miningrocks (11/4), Altharoos (11/4), Hernandoshideaway (4/1), Dream Free (6/1), Jan De Heem (7/1), King Of The Celts (8/1), Perceived (14/1), Nonno Giulio (14/1)

Verdict

One thing is for certain that MININGROCKS will be the leader here in the early stages and it will be very much a question of whether he can get away from this field and hold on. Altharoos can be a slowly away and that may put him on the back foot early and it looks like that King Of The Celts and Dream Free will be the main pursuers with the latter still looking on a decent mark. Jan De Heem will enjoy the strong gallop but may just be running out of ground as he makes his challenge late on.
  1. Miningrocks
  2. Dream Free
  3. Altharoos
