Has been pulled up on three of his last five starts and reportedly burst a blood vessel last time. Clearly has ability as he looked an unlucky loser at Newton Abbot last month but he remains one to have reservations about until proving categorically that he has overcome his issues.

Only since once since 2015 when he finished last of 14 at Warwick well over a year ago. Questions to answer and plenty to prove currently.

Shown even less over hurdles than he did on the Flat in four hurdles starts to date and well beaten at Wincanton when last of 4 most recently. Yet to place in either sphere and hard to recommend.

Keen going sort who hasn't as much as placed in seven hurdles starts and he's either failed to finish or been beaten out of sight on every start.

Finished runner-up at this course in his bid for a double here last July but he has a poor record fresh and he's set to struggle from an 8lh higher mark.

Well beaten on all six starts (latest four over hurdles). Last of five at Worcester last time was another poor effort and plenty to prove currently.

A 13-race maiden but doing a little better this year. Having finished third at Chepstow who looked booked for a runner-up spot at Stratford when he fell at the last there last month. Poor last time out but has shown he can mix it at this level and he shouldn't be underestimated in a field as week as this.

Scored off a mark 22lb higher back in 2015 but has completely lost his way since joining this yard. First-time blinkers need to make a big difference.

Caused a 40/1 shock at Fontwell last summer and showed that wasn't a fluke by almost following up on this track the time after. Not so good after that and may need this after a break.

Showed some ability on the Flat and while four of his five starts over hurdles have been very disappointing, his runner-up effort at Ffos Las two starts back was a decent effort. Claims if recapturing that form off a fair looking mark.

Didn't do badly when a close enough third behind the useful Gregarious at Sandown in March, but didn't really build on that at Exeter next time (although not disgraced). Yard going well and under conditions that suit, could go close here.

Two wins from 39 starts over hurdles but has run well here before and has shown he still has ability when he's on a going day. Handicapper given him a real chance now and he can't be dismissed.

Form figures and headgear configuration are clues to his recent woes. Trainer has only had one winner from 119 runners since 2008.

Well beaten in 12 starts across both codes Minor signs of ability last time at Taunton but nothing to get carried away about and likely to struggle from out of the handicap.

Moderate winner on the Flat but shown nothing in three hurdles starts switched to this yard and she's a long way out of the handicap.

Verdict

SHINTORI was a little disappointing last time but he had looked like he was getting his act together prior to that effort and he may be capable of bouncing back. Pension Madness has run well in more competitive races than this in the past and Ladies Dancing has been given a chance by the assessor.
  1. Shintori
  2. Pension Madness
  3. Ladies Dancing
