Justified odds-on favouritism when winning a selling chase over an extended 2m3f (good) here on final start for previous yard last month. Races off a career low mark here and interesting on debut for this yard.
Both chase victories have come at this track including when dead-heating over C&D on good ground last November. Has finished well beaten in two subsequent starts including at Kempton last month but is an interesting runner off a mark 2lb than for that C&D success.
Successful seven times in a 40 race career to date. Well beaten in recent seasons and now racing off a mark 22lb lower than for his latest success at Bangor in October 2015. Probably best watched here however.
Latest success came off a 9lb lower mark over an extended 3m2f at Newton Abbot (good-to-firm) last July. Finished runner-up off a mark 1lb lower than he races off here over the same C&D subsequently but out of form when last seen in action in October.
Returned to form in finishing runner-up the last twice including over 3m4f at Cheltenham (good) last month. Races off a 2lb lower mark today he is an interesting runner and is less exposed than most of his rivals today.
Point-to-point winner in 2015 and beaten 10L into third in a five runner handicap chase over an extended 2m4f at Southwell in September. Wears a hood and races off a 2lb lower mark upped to this trip for the first time as he seeks a first rules success today.
Registered a hat-trick earlier this year when winning twice at Hereford and once at Chepstow on soft and heavy ground. Finished well beaten the last twice including off a 1lb higher mark at Hereford last time out and would probably prefer softer ground than is forecast here.
Held every chance when falling under an amateur rider at Ludlow on good-to-firm ground in October but made amends over hurdles at Exeter next time out. Pulled up over 3m5f at Warwick on soft ground in March and this trip looks more suitable today.
Forecasts
Ugolin De Beaumont (3/1), Globalisation (4/1), Abbeygrey (9/2), Super Scorpion (6/1), Lost Legend (8/1), Earthmoves (8/1), Gardiners Hill (10/1), Strumble Head (20/1)
UGOLIN DE BEAUMONT can register a second success by taking this competitive looking handicap chase. Bob Buckler's charge has finished runner-up the last twice including over 3m4f last time and with the ground and drop in trip both likely to suit he can get the better of Earthmoves who debuts for a new stable here having won a selling chase at this track last time out. Abbeygrey is another of interest dropping back in trip and he can claim third here.
