Completed a four-timer on the AW last November with that win coming over a mile in a Listed contest. Holds plenty of fancy entries but has to bounce back here after disappointing on AW Finals Day also over a mile (well-backed short-priced favourite). May have needed that after a break and interesting to see what he can do back on turf.

Faced a very restricted and short campaign last year (just two runs) and had shown some useful form prior to that. Final run of last year when runner-up was a sound effort and it will be interesting to see what he can do here.

Steps up to this level after showing some very sound form in handicaps and given his mark now, he's well worth a try in this grade. A very strong traveller although the only worry is that he may not get the strong pace that he enjoys in handicaps to run at. Hard to write off though given his connections and looks a horse on the up who has gone well fresh before.

Making his GB debut having won and run well in Group races in Italy and Germany last year. Generally likes to make the running but hard to equate his form here although not readily written off given his very capable trainer.

Globe-trotting Group 1 winner who has won a couple of major prizes in North America over a mile and 1m2f. Well held at the highest level since his last win at Arlington Park and one expects that this slight ease in Grade may well help him go close. He provides his trainer with a strong hand in this Listed contest as he also saddles Firmament.

Coming back from a very long absence having not been seen since his juvenile days. Improved on his debut when winning over 7f on his second start and should have improvement to come but this is a tough ask after the break and just two career starts.

His juvenile form was useful and he showed that he had built on those three two-year-old starts when winning over 7f at Ascot on his second start last year. He's actually yet to finish out of the first two and looked one who would come on for the run when finishing second on his only start this year in a 7f Newmarket handicap off 105. Deserves a chance in this grade although one or two might just have a little bit more to offer.

Forecasts

Ennaadd (2/1), Tabarrak (7/2), Mondialiste (7/2), Firmament (5/1), Algaith (16/1), Kaspersky (16/1), Mootaharer (25/1)

Verdict

A conundrum is offered by Ennaadd here who returns to turf for the first time since his juvenile debut but he does have to put a disappointing run behind him. David O’Meara probably holds the key to this race and Firmament and MONDIALISTE give him a fine chance in this. Tabarrak has to improve but is hard to discount much like GB debutante Kaspersky who is a real wildcard.
  1. Mondialiste
  2. Firmament
  3. Tabarrak
