Registered successive wins at Catterick and Nottingham late in the 2016 turf season but well beaten in four AW outings since. Now down to a mark 8lb lower than for the second of those wins and the return to this 6f trip may well suit. Interesting for a yard going well at present.
Poorly drawn when going in search of the four-timer at Kempton last week but ran well in finishing third. He remains on a mark 5lb higher than when winning at that track the time before and he's likely to be held up for a late effort once more here.
Disappointed since placed off a 1lb higher mark over 7f at Kempton in october. Won off a 2lb higher mark over CD a couple of years ago and interesting to see how he fares after a two month absence.
Seven time winner here including over C&D. Has been disappointing of late but now racing off a mark 3lb lower than for his most recent success and 11lb lower than when placed here last spring. Well drawn and could spring a surprise in this.
Winner of a maiden over 5f at Wolverhampton in october and followed up in a handicap seven days later. Disappointing since including on fibresand last time out but has placed off this mark in the past.
Debut winner on turf at Haydock but had 14 runs without success since and struggling from an early stage when finishing behind Born To Finish last week. Falling in the weights but likely best watched at present.
Winner on his penultimate start at Chelmsford but disappointed at Southwell subsequently. Latest effort here resulted in him finishing runner-up to Born To Finish when trying to make all off a 4lb lower mark in december and likely to have competition if trying to make all once more.
Mark steadily falling due to a number of poor runs and a similar story at Newcastle last month. Has changed yards since and interesting to see how he fares off a mark 7lb lower than for his most recent success.

Born To Finish (4/5), Bush Warrior (6/1), Panther Patrol (13/2), Ballesteros (7/1), King Of Swing (7/1), Bertie Blu Boy (14/1), Something Lucky (16/1), Colourbearer (20/1), Waneen (25/1)
BORN TO FINISH failed when going in search of the four-timer at Kempton last week but can go get back on track in this. The selection is likely to be played late once more but has his regular jockey in the saddle for a yard who's horses have been running well without winning recently. Colourbearer disappointed on the fibresand last time out but races off just a 2lb higher mark than for his success at Chelmsford prior to that and can fill the runner-up berth while Ballesteros represents an in form yard (24% strike rate recently and has a good draw too and is another who is respected.
