Carries a 6lb penalty for last weeks Wolverhampton success, this being his final chance to run in this grade for a while. Much respected on that run (his first since September) and likely to be tough to beat with stable in form.
Won off this mark at Yarmouth in August for Silvestre De Sousa, but made little impression since (mainly on the AW). Last of ten over C&D on most recent appearance, but drops into a Class 6 for the first time since that Yarmouth success.
Not won since August 2015 (here over 6f on turf), but placed on numerous occasions since. Ran as if a drop to this trip could help when third here over further in November, but disappointing (again over 6f) at Chelmsford next time.
An eleven time winner (including over C&D) so no denying this nine-year-old knows how to win races. However, he has struggled to do so in five starts (all here) since returning from the turf and although running well, the handicapper might just have his measure for now.
Won at Kempton in October off a mark of just 55, and again ran well there six weeks later off a 3lb higher mark when runner up to a stablemate of Hamish Mcgonagin. However, has been unable to continue that progression in three subsequent starts at this track, so on balance is vulnerable again today.
Maiden, who did finish third on penultimate start here over 6f to a stablemate of Hamish Mcgonagin, but took a big step backwards when last of ten next time at Kempton. Others readily preferred.
An admirable campaigner, who is an 11 time winner on the AW (including in this very race in 2014). Likes to go from the front and ran well at Newcastle just before Christmas, before finishing one place (three quarters of a length) in front of Pharoh Jake when runner up over C&D on New Year's Eve, and has continued in good form in 2017 when third at Kempton on Monday.
C&D winner (off 55) in March 2016. Has been slow to get going this winter, with his fourth at Southwell on his most recent start his best effort since an extended summer break. Now races from a reduced mark of 52 so clear contender, despite work to do with both Roy's Legacy and Pharoh Jake on New Year's Eve effort.
A winner off a 1lb lower mark at Bath in August (5f Firm), but absent since September when finishing eighth of nine at Wolverhampton and now 0 from 20 on the AW.

A race that revolves around the Jeremy Gask trained HAMISH MCGONAGIN. The suspicion was prior to his Wolverhampton success last week that he might need the race, so with that in mind, he can be strongly fancied to follow up under the six pound penalty with his trainer in very good form of late. Gask has a good line into a few of these runners, and under the same rider David Parkes, Hamish Mcgonagin should see off inferior rivals in his last race at this grade for a while.
