Division 2 of this six-furlong handicap looks a pretty average affair and it’ll be hard to be overly confident on any in the current form they've shown.

Ad Vitam has gone close recently over an extra furlong and the drop back to his most favoured trip will suit though he is getting long in the tooth now and may be worth opposing for younger legs.

David’s Beauty tends to fair better over the minimum and might just need this on reappearance whilst Clergyman beat Jessie Allan and Rapid Rise in February and despite re-opposing on slightly worse terms I'd imagine the six-year-old will confirm that form, but the one I can see going well at a price is the mare WEDGEWOOD ESTATES.

Despite only recording two career successes, one of those came over this track and trip and her form in recent starts has hinted that she’s ready to strike again soon.

She remains on the same mark as for a length-and-a-half defeat in a slightly better race the last day, where after breaking slowly she rallied off a strong pace but gave herself too much to do too late.

There looks likely to be another strong gallop and if the seven-year-old gets away on terms with the others she may well surprise a few people at generous odds.

Rock On Baileys is clearly the form horse in the race and is bidding for a five-timer here having defeated a couple of these at Chelmsford earlier this month.

All four victories so far have come whilst sporting blinkers and that headgear is kept on again today so another bold showing is on the cards, though a further 5lb rise makes things tougher.

Both Montague and Rastacap re-oppose on much better terms for that defeat to the aforementioned though the stable form of the former isn't encouraging so the latter would have thee better chance of reversing that form from the plum draw.

I'm pinning my colours to the handicap debutant MIGHTY MAC for Ralph Beckett who arrives here having won a novice event over this trip back in February and this opening mark of 76 could well be exploited.

This bay gelding showed a nice turn of foot the last day when conceding weight to the horse in second and they pulled a good three lengths clear of the rest.

A repeat performance here would certainly see him go close in the hands of Richard Kingscote for which this is his only ride on tonight’s card.
