Lady Bowthorpe can regain the winning thread in the AR Legal Fillies' Handicap at Newmarket, according to Anita Chambers.

Lady Bowthorpe fell just short on her most recent outing but can regain the winning thread in the AR Legal Fillies' Handicap at Newmarket.

William Jarvis' charge finished fourth on her only juvenile start last year and was not hurried back into action this term, making her reappearance with a fair fifth in August.

That Chelmsford run clearly stood her in good stead for her next novice assignment, because she ran out a cosy two-length winner over seven furlongs at Lingfield.

Awarded a starting mark of 78 following that run, Lady Bowthorpe then switched up to a mile at Sandown - where she was beaten just a neck by the favourite after a really noteworthy effort.

Jarvis sticks at a mile on Wednesday - and while Lady Bowthorpe must contend with a 3lb rise, she looks progressive and can make her presence felt.

Derby entry Convict is the pick in the Matchbook EBF Future Stayers Nursery Handicap.

He looked in need of the experience on his racecourse bow, while he stumbled at York on his second attempt, so it was something of a deserved victory when he finally broke his maiden at Redcar last month.

Upped to a mile at York, Convict got a bit outpaced mid-race but fought his way back into it before he was eventually trumped by a short head at the line.

Stepping up to 10 furlongs could well be within his compass, and his mark of 85 may not be totally beyond him.

Ralph Beckett's string continues in good form, and Grain Of Sense looks another likely type in the Coates & Seely Brut Reserve Maiden Stakes.

A half-brother to four winners, he was slow to break at Newmarket on his debut and was putting in all his best work at the end - finishing a five-and-a-half-length third.

He is another to go up in distance now, and should feel the benefit.

Faakhirah has made the frame on both starts to date, and she can finally take a starring role in the first division of the 32Red On The App Store EBF Fillies' Novice Stakes at Kempton.

She possibly took a step back on her most recent run, having to settle for third at Newcastle after chasing home the useful Jovial on her debut at Yarmouth.

Saeed bin Suroor sticks at seven furlongs, and those that keep the faith could be rewarded.

Inteldream was a shock 66/1 winner at Wolverhampton recently - and while he is unlikely to be going off at those odds in the Betway Heed Your Hunch Handicap, he is still worth an interest.

He had shown little in his first two starts. But tried at a mile and a half, Inteldream put his best foot forward to win what was only an average maiden in decent style.

Faced with another two furlongs, he can progress again - with staying trips looking likely to suit.

King Alfonso is on a roll and can bring up his hat-trick in the Fred & Mercy Rimell Memorial Handicap Chase at Worcester.

Dai Burchell's 10-year-old is back to the course and distance over which he was successful at the end of last month.

He has since scored over further at Ffos Las - and although he must therefore carry a penalty and has a welter burden here, the talented Jack Tudor's 7lb claim offsets the impost.

Waikiki Waves was last seen winning at Fontwell in April and can make a triumphant return to that track in the Visit attheraces.com Handicap Chase.

Sent off the 1/20 favourite in a match race, Waikiki Waves won as he should given his starting price - cruising home by 29 lengths, with only a minimal rise subsequently inflicted.
