Powerful Glory

WATCH: Richard Fahey two-year-old bought at Doncaster, Powerful Glory, approaches Mill Reef challenge

We've been tracking two-year-old colt Powerful Glory from the very start of his time with Richard Fahey - check out the videos ahead of his next big test on the track this weekend.

On May 1 we released episode one - Buying the Dream - which sees us follow trainer Richard Fahey at the Goffs Breeze-Up Sale at Doncaster as he discusses his strategy when it comes to recruiting new talent for his Malton yard.

Fahey focused in on a son of Cotai Glory, who was ultimately bought by Richard Brown on behalf of owner Sheikh Rashid Dalmook Al Maktoum and sent to be trained at Musley Bank.

Ten weeks on we headed back to the stable to see how the colt, by this stage named Powerful Glory, had settled in.

We returned to pay him another visit following a sparkling debut success at Pontefract on August 18 and now the promising horse's sights are being raised to Group 2 level, with a shot at this Saturday's Dubai Duty Free Mill Reef Stakes at Newbury on the agenda.

Cure Leukaemia EBF 'Newcomers' Maiden Stakes

Timeform analysis: A lop-sided betting market was reflected in the events of the race, the winner a class apart as he stormed clear of his rivals in the final 1f. POWERFUL GLORY created a fine impression in landing the odds first time out; dwelt, soon close up, travelled fluently, disputed lead 4f out, went on soon after halfway, shaken up over 1f out, quickened clear; he's sure to progress.
