Tom O'Ryan Memorial Tipping Challenge Round Three Update
With some help from Sky Bet and from the racecourse stewards, a few more pounds of profit will be making their way to charity after a mixed bag of efforts from our top team of tipsters on Monday evening.
With Sky Bet paying four places on each-way bets in the 6.55 race instead of the standard three, Jack Luey's fourth place was enough to see Michael Shinners' running total improved, while third place for Alex Hammond's each-way selection Sovereign Bounty also got the Sky Sports News HQ racing expert off the mark.
But the main winner was top trainer Richard Fahey, who made £150 for the three nominated charities when the stewards promoted his selection Bollin Ted from second to first place in the closing 10-furlong contest.

*The competition carries the name of Tom O'Ryan, the award-winning journalist and broadcaster who was a regular contestant in it over the years.
Last year Sky Bet's tipping challenge raised £6,000 for three charities: the Injured Jockey Fund, Yorkshire Air Ambulance and New Beginnings, the Yorkshire-based racehorse retraining charity. Since it started in 2012, the challenge has raised almost £30,000.
This year our betting partners Sky Bet are offering £8,100 in charity bets to the nine contestants, who are each given £100 to stake per day during the Go Racing In Yorkshire Summer Festival. The winnings are divided between the three charities.
