There's £50,000 on offer in this weekend's free-to-play ITV7 and Dave Smith has the guide you need for the crucial races.
13:50 Ascot - Bateaux London Reynoldstown Novices' Chase (Grade 2) (GBB Race) - 2m 7f 180y
Things didn't exactly go the way of SEVARANO at Newbury last time out and a shuddering mistake at the first rocked his confidence. He was staying on in the closing stages so this step up in trip should suit. Connections of Remastered retain the faith, moving him into this company and Hurricane Harvey is not without a chance, whilst Kalooki jumped markedly left handed last time at Kempton.
14:05 Haydock - William Hill Rendlesham Hurdle (Grade 2) (GBB Race) - 3m 58y
Although On The Blind Side should be well found at the top of the market, it's notable that Nico de Boinville goes to Ascot for a smaller prize and only one ride. EMITOM appears to be a consistent animal with proven stamina at this distance, exemplified by a fine run in March at the festival. He's the reigning champion and reverts back to hurdles after going chasing.
14:40 Haydock - William Hill Grand National Trial Handicap Chase (Grade 3) (GBB Race) - 3m 4f 97y
NOTACHANCE was impressive when scoring at Warwick last time out. He possibly hit the front too soon and was made to work hard to claim victory, but he was well fancied beforehand. He's a sound jumper, as is Sojourn and he'll still find competition from Anthony Honeyball's charge. The Two Amigos' mark continues to rise without landing a prize he deserves and Enqarde is in off a feather weight.
15:18 Wincanton - Betway Kingwell Hurdle (Grade 2) (GBB Race) - 1m 7f 65y
The question for punters here is clearly around which Goshen will turn up. He scooted miles clear in the JLT last March before breaking the hearts of all concerned when coming down at the final obstacle. He's flattered to deceive since and he may well come up short again here with SONG FOR SOMEONE taken to defy the 6lb he has to shoulder against his market rival. He was a taking scorer of a Grade 2 contest before following that up at Cheltenham; he's a worthy favourite.
15:35 Ascot - Betfair Ascot Chase (Grade 1) (GBB Race) - 2m 5f 8y
CYRNAME didn't get going at all in the King George but he loves it around here and may well have unbeaten form figures were it not for a fall. He's a past winner of this and though he's likely to be a popular selection, he should have too much for Master Tommytucker, just.
