Free betting tips: Simon Holt's best bets for Friday's action from Newmarket

Simon Holt highlights his best bets for Friday's high-class action at Newmarket, with Muffri'ha among his selections.

There are few tougher, or better, two-year-old fillies in training than NYALETI who can continue her richly rewarding first season with victory in the Group Two Shadwell Rockfel Stakes at Newmarket on Friday.

Mark Johnston's charge was fancied in this space to take last month's May Hill Stakes at Doncaster but, despite a very well executed waiting-in-front ride from James Doyle, she was run down close home by Laurens and Dark Rose Angel and just failed to last out the mile.

Back over seven furlongs here, Nyaleti's turn of foot could be very difficult to cope with and, while one or two of her rivals are certainly open to a deal of improvement, she is clearly the form pick on her earlier runaway win at Ascot and previous seconds behind the Aidan O'Brien-trained pair September and Clemmie at the Royal meeting and Newmarket's July Festival respectively..

The most likely improvers are Gavota, who was impressive against modest opposition at Lingfield last time, and Lightening Quick who made a good impression when beating the Aidan O'Brien-trained Bye Bye Baby at Leopardstown on her debut, the pair finishing four lengths clear of the third.

Both of these fillies boast considerable potential but Nyaleti sets a high standard.

In the opening listed Muhaarar British EBF Rosemary Stakes, MUFFRI'HA also stands out on past performances, though has a five-month absence to overcome.

William Haggas' mare was in terrific form last October rattling up a hat-trick of victories, including two on this Rowley Mile course, and finished a fine third to recent Irish Champion Stakes winner Decorated Knight in the Group One Jebel Hatta at Meydan in early March.

Doubtless a return to Dubai is high on Muffri'ha's agenda but, if straight enough for this comeback, she should take plenty of beating.

The next highest rated contender in the field is David O'Meara's filly Lincoln Rocks who has enjoyed an excellent campaign winning three times, though she disappointed behind Aljazzi at Sandown (Tisbutadream third) last time and has to carry a penalty for her Pontefract victory at this level in July.
