15:15 Ascot - Betfred Summer Mile Stakes (Group 2) - 1m
Plenty with chances here and several who are open to improvement. Mohaather was reported as being denied a clear run in the Queen Anne at Royal Ascot but looks a short price here. MARIE'S DIAMOND was a strong contender in that race and is versatile ground-wise. Mark Johnston's charge is taken to score.
15:35 Newmarket - Darley July Cup Stakes (Group 1) (British Champions Series) - 6f
There was lots to like about GOLDEN HORDE's win at Royal Ascot and as a three-year-old, he's got plenty of potential. Though the ground was good to soft in the Commonwealth Cup, he ran a very good time and can get the better of Hello Youmzain, who admittedly has a very good draw and conditions to suit as well.
15:50 Ascot - Betfred Heritage Handicap - 5f
APLOMB was ultimately well held when running a never-nearer seventh in the Silver Wokingham but he shaped with enough promise, has been dropped 1lb and has some reasonable course form at Ascot. Connections will be hoping a drop back in trip will help. Final Venture is a very consistent horse but just doesn't appear to get his head in front whilst Mountain Peak is a course and distance winner so enters calculations.
16:10 Newmarket - bet365 Bunbury Cup (Heritage Handicap) - 7f
As ever, its hugely competitive stuff and a tentative selection is BLACKHEATH. He's squeezed in at the bottom of the handicap, has a nice enough draw in stall 20 and the booking of Silvestre de Sousa is interesting. His best form appears to be on quicker ground but there's no discernible proof he won't act on soft.
