Ben Linfoot has the Boxing Day best bets from all eight tracks racing in the UK, with the Nap running at Wincanton.

LONG DRAW – 2.38 Wincanton (NAP)
Philip Hobbs has a good record in the Wincanton Pertemps qualifier on Boxing Day and his Thomas Mor is a fascinating contender on the back of 650 days off the track. However, preference is for Olly Murphy’s LONG DRAW who was really impressive at Cheltenham two weeks ago in a similar standard of race, winning by five lengths on his first go at three miles. Up 7lb, Beau Morgan takes 5lb off and he’s 4/15 at 27% for Murphy.
BINGOO – 1.40 Aintree
Jimmy Moffatt’s BINGOO looks a good bet to go back-to-back in the William Hill Offers Top Price Guarantees Handicap Hurdle at Aintree. The eight-year-old runs off the same mark he did last year and he looked to be just getting into contention when unseating Charlotte Jones at the second last at Carlisle on his seasonal return.
HEREWEGOHONEY – 1.47 Market Rasen
It could be worth chancing HEREWEGOHONEY to rediscover her form in the Pallinc Lincolnshire National Handicap Chase at Market Rasen. The eight-year-old mare has gone off the boil in her last four starts, but she has dropped 6lb in two chase runs since winning easily over this course and distance and she should strip fitter for a spin over hurdles at Newcastle.
MYRETOWN – 2.10 Wetherby
There may be no Ahoy Senor running on Boxing Day but his owners could strike with MYRETOWN for Lucinda Russell in the William Hill Committed To Top Prices Handicap Chase at Wetherby. Like Ahoy Senor, he’s by Dylan Thomas, and he’s related to three-mile winners, so stepping up in trip to 2m3f and a bit should help after he was beaten in a hot two-mile chase at Newbury on his fencing debut last time.
GATA BAN – 2.17 Fontwell
Neil Mulholland struck with his sole runner on Fontwell’s Boxing Day card 12 months ago and he might just repeat the trick with GATA BAN in the Golden Era Of Betting: BetMGM Handicap Hurdle. The Getaway mare won off the same mark of 94 on December 21 at Taunton last year and she looks dead interesting third run back stepping up in trip.
SALSADA – 2.35 Sedgefield
Brian Ellison’s SALSADA posted arguably a career-best over the course and distance last time and she can go in again in the Best Racing Odds At vickers.bet Handicap Hurdle at Sedgefield. She also won her maiden hurdle over this track and trip so it’s no wonder Ellison has identified this Boxing Day target for her, at a meeting he’s had plenty of winners at over the years.
EAST INDIA EXPRESS – 3.40 Kempton
Nicky Henderson has won the Ladbrokes Get Rewarded With Ladbucks Handicap Hurdle twice in the last four years and from 10 six-day entries he runs three, with preference for EAST INDIA EXPRESS. This horse goes unpenalised for success off the same mark at Ascot in a conditionals race last Friday, where he travelled well before showing a good attitude, so it’s no wonder his trainer turns him out quickly off these terms.
CHRISTIAN DAVID – 4.35 Wolverhampton
Richard Hannon had a double at Wolverhampton on Boxing Day two years ago and he could strike with his sole runner on the card, CHRISTIAN DAVID, in the BetMGM: It’s Showtime Handicap. The son of Profitable was an eyecatcher on his return from over five months off at Chelmsford two weeks ago, running well in a 0-105 while shaping like he could come on for it, so he’s of interest from the ceiling mark in this 0-88, even with his wide draw.
