Horse Racing Tips: Nap of the Day
Ben Linfoot was amongst the winners on Friday and David Ord has the best bets for Saturday with the Nap in action at Sandown.

CLEAR STORM – 6.08 Haydock (NAP)
William Haggas farms these Haydock handicaps in the summer months and CLEAR STORM looks another that could be too good for her rivals in the Visit RacingTV.com Handicap on Friday. She ran a career-best last time out when just denied over 1m3f at Hamilton and the slight drop in trip back to 10 furlongs looks in her favour here. She tried to give the winner 11lb that day but remains on the same mark of 68 and has quite obvious room for further improvement on her third turf start. (Ben Linfoot)
WALTER HARTRIGHT – 7.45 Beverley
Ed Dunlop found the key to WALTER HARTRIGHT last time out and he can go in again in the Green Ginger Gallop Handicap at Beverley. The son of Saxon Warrior won easily over the course and distance in first-time blinkers last time out and with the same headgear retained he can defy a 6lb higher mark under Silvestre De Sousa. He makes his handicap debut in against older horses but the well-bred DAMBUSTER is a work in progress for the Andrew Balding team and might have been let in lightly off 90.
A very well bred son of Kingman, he won on debut here in September before finishing last of four in the Zetland Stakes but was back on track with a career-best performance on his return at Beverley.
He defied a penalty and greenness to beat Stay In The Game that day, produced to lead in the final 100 yards. There was plenty of petrol left in the tank and he’s a fascinating runner.
EL BURHAN - 1.40 Beverley
He’s a promising colt and EL BURHAN can defy a penalty and follow-up his Yarmouth success.
The son of New Bay was very strong at the finish when beating Attack by a length-and-a-quarter and the stiff track in East Yorkshire will play to his strengths.
TOO BOSSY FOR US - 2.05 Haydock
He looks to be crying out for this trip and TOO BOSSY FOR US can come out on a top a fiercely-contested handicap.
Kevin Philipart de Foy’s charge was doing all his best work at the finish when third behind Align The Stars at Thirsk and a strongly-run race at mile-and-three-quarters could bring out the best in the progressive son of Golden Horn.
TRAVIS - 5.53 Leicester
He ran a cracker from this mark when second at Pontefract last time and dropping from a Class 3 to a Class 5, TRAVIS is taken to resume winning ways.
The son of Advertise is enjoying a profitable campaign, ran well on his previous visit to this track and the George Boughey team continue in great form. The forecast strong pace should suit too.
GREEK GIFT - 7.50 Carlisle
She looks to have been brought along with nurseries in mind and a lowly mark of 56 gives GREEK GIFT every chance of making a winning start in the sphere.
In good hands, the daughter of Magna Grecia was still green when fifth to Love Talk at Redcar last time, slowly away not for the first time. The step up in trip on Saturday looks another positive.
FORTNUM - 8.10 Nottingham
He looks the sort to run up a sequence for the Boughey team and FORTNUM rates the best bet at Nottingham.
Strong in the market for his handicap debut here last month, he was much improved in beating Lady Of Time a length, the winning margin no reflection of his superiority. He hung left off the bridle that day and a five pounds rise looks workable.
